Once you accept the premise of a ghost coming to life via a flower, this was a supernatural love story that will keep you rooting for one and then another and then back again. I loved it.

Who Juliette ends up with is almost a side story. There were multiple levels of intrigue, lots of mystery and a very satisfying HEA.

I didn't see the ending playing out the way it did but it made soooooo much sense. The epilogue actually made me cry. It was so sweet.

The narrator could not have been better. She. Was. So. Good. There were a variety of voices and she kept them rich and warm and alive.

It's a shame there is no book two. I want back into this world.

This book is a perfect romance in my opinion. I'm not big on some of the more intense scenes in most true "romance" books. This book was all about actual love, not lust. This review does not do the book justice because I can't put into words what was so great about this book. I usually don't write reviews but this book earned one.

Mindless Drivel

This book only should be read by someone hoping for complete, mindless drivel. The plot and characters lack depth and nuance. Narrator was okay.

I'm in love! Doesn't hurt that some scenes fogged up my glasses

I love this telling of beauty and the beast. She is even strong in this story than the one I heard as a child.

She faces many hardships because of her sisters and how nice she is. I feel her niceness will be her undoing. She doesn't try to hold the monsters and the would be rapists at fault or try to find a way to stop them.

I so happy I decided to pick up this book it was a joy to listen to. The narrator is amazing she brought this tell to life.

Grab this book you will fall in love with it!

All of Me

This series had all of me. It consumed me. The grit, pain, and triumph was all too much while not enough. Unforgettable. I beyond recommend this series to anyone and everyone.

Depravity, Deceit and Devastation, the Beauty and the Beast trilogy by M.J. Haag should have been one book. The story drags on so long; you tire of Beauty, her nasty sisters and her good intentions. Theres so much potential with this story that editing could have fixed. I suffered through to the end but it wasnt worth it.

No sophomore slump here

Love love love it on to part 3 for me! This is an adult retelling of my fave fairy tale and this installment is the most brutal. Secrets and lies all over the place.

Absolutely! Of course, I would recommend listening to Book #1 first (Depravity). This story is so well-written, and Sierra Kline's narration brings the words to life. It a pleasant listening experience.

Part three in this beautiful, sexy and heartbreaking story did not disappoint! Ryker and Danita are moving forward with their lives despite the uncertainty of the future. With Sterling all moved in they are finally a family and after a moving wedding ceremony they are all ready to take on whatever the future holds. As they await the results of Danita's new treatment she has to deals with some difficult side effects and as always Ryker is nothing but an amazing support. I really enjoyed getting to know Sterling better and especially liked the dynamics between father and son as they got to know each other. Danita's illness isn't their only issue though, when Ryker's cheater of an ex-wife pulls him back into her issues will it effect his brand new family? As always Ryker and Danita's chemistry in the bedroom (or where ever they happen to be) is off the charts!

So excited for part four and the conclusion of their story :)

VIPER'S LIFE AFTER TINA & GRANDMA PEARL!

Would you listen to Vipers Defiant Mate again? Why?

Yes. I always listen to good stories more than once, twice - well many times! Especially when they have great characters, strongminded women and of course lots of funny moments. Poor Viper, but he was awarded with happiness in the end.

What did you like best about this story?

All the inter-action with the many secondary characters. Grandma Pearl is not as funny as Riley, but she rates right up there.

Which character as performed by David Brenin was your favorite?

Sorry - can't pick just one. David Brenin is the MAN! I could listen to him anytime anywhere - even if he was reciting the dictionary. B. J. Harrison (another narrator) is almost as good as David.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

3.5 Viper's Defiant Mate Stars

So this is book 2, and its the same world as the first, only its with Vox and Rileys siblings.

I have to say I loved Viper and Tinas story but I kinda liked Riley and Vox just a little bit more.

Oh does Tina put Viper though his passes.. It was hella funny and sweet how hard he fights to show her he wants her.

I love that he has to win over their grandmother as well. That was kinda sweet.

These females really dont make it easy on a guy but what I love is that both males, really dont give up.

Disappointed

Can't get over how irritating and dingy Lindsay was in this book.. returned to get my credit back. Could have been very interesting but not enough build up of character. And Lindsay is beyond irritating...

I like the story but not the performances.

I've read the other been book in this series and was impressed enough to continue the series. But this audiobook definitely makes me want to cringe. The male voices and narrator are decent but the females voice is horrible. HORRIBLE! I would've rather the male voice actor do all the voices than to listen to the "nails on the chalkboard" that her voice mimimcs. Her voice or her acting is not suited at all for romance. She sounds more like a 50's cartoon character. Its a stark contrast the males smooth voice and acting style.

A Well Written Menage!

Lindsey's Rescue was a great addition to the series. Michelle took the concept of a ménage, and delivered a refreshing and original plot, with multilayered characters.

Often, when you hear about ménage, you think brothers, best friends, alphas, but not two males from different social classes, with personalities as different as night and day. To make it even better, Michelle created a whole planet that thrives on threesome marriages know as Triad's.

Lindsey's travels to Garulax looking to enter in a Triad marriage. During the selection ceremony, she's makes a proposal to two rival Senate Leaders Zadal and Baruk, to enter into a Triad. At first, the Senate Leaders were reluctant, but were impressed with Lindsey's beauty, and quirky ways, and quickly agree. I enjoyed the plot development around the marriage. You get a good sense of what a marriage with three could be like, their different personalities, and how they interacted with each other, and oh, the incredibly sexy love scenes! Love them a lot! Even better, not all the love scene were between the three of them.

Admittedly, I had "change in narrator blues.." However, I adjusted to Ian James and Jennifer Ann fairly quickly. This duo did a really good job, so I honestly can't complain. The sound effects added a nice touch, but were not overly done.

Definitely looking forward to the next book in the series, and recommend this series to any Sci-Fi Romance fan! It's worth a credit!

Disappointed

Not as good as the first book. First I want to say that the narrators were very good, and I believe all of them were in an audiobook from M.K. Eidem, Cassandra's Challenge. It even used the same format of music between each chapter. Which I have to say was annoying. Because it just extended the time of the audiobook.

Yes. A number and he is a favorite narrator of mine. He is especially good with accents, Scottish, Irish, English. These guys are Scots and he certainly brings them to life.

I read the book some time ago. I loved it and love this format as well. Brother and cousin Druids all centuries old having never found their mates. Bingo, bad ju ju comes to town and the lady is somehow involved, victim, immortal after the bad guy, or friend. The guys are in search of the demon or bad guy and they find their mate. The guys are funny, sexy, and female magnets. Gotta luv em all.

An OK read and listen..

Ok, I didnt like this book nearly as much as I did the other one, and not because of the two different narrators. This one seemed to dwell too much on Samanthas family being servants to Warrick and his family for generations, and Samantha seeing herself and her family being just that, servants. And Warrick worrying about that same thing for way too long. I mean, Warrick was only MR. Voclain not a prince or some kind of royalty. It was as if Warricks mother felt he was too good for Samantha, (even though she loved Samantha and had always protected her,) and not worrying that he was a dragon and she was human. I didnt understand those thoughts going on for so long.

I did like the secondary characters: Xanthippe, Thomas, Maude Voclain, Ryan, Peggy, Nicholas, and Carolyn. They were all good, mostly. And in the beginning I liked Brandon, too.

There was graphic sex in this book and no swearing to speak of.

As to the narrator: He was good and terrible at the same time. He read with lots of emotions BUT when funny stuff was said and it says someone laughed and the narrator didnt, well, that just sucks. Two of the most important things a narrator can do is laugh and whisper, to me anyway. Also, Thomas, Maude Voclain and Ryan had the most horrible voices Ive ever heard. They were actually just creepy sounding.

Story and narration not as good as the first book.

Hmm. Kind of a bummer. This book was not nearly as good as the first book, Tempted by Fire. And the narrator switch did not help either. I was so bummed when I saw the narrator was different.

The story line and plot were okay. I thought the gift that Samantha had was interesting enough. But her character was a bit too wimpy for me. Warrick was pretty decent, I liked him well enough. There was a lot more inner dialogue than there was actual dialogue between the two. The story line and plot was just meh and it could have been better.
