Would you try another book from Daniel Goleman and Peter Senge and/or Peter Senge and Daniel Goleman ?

I like these guys but this doesn't do them any favors. Should be a free product on one of their websites.

none, it's about 3 hours short of substantial content on the subject.

Great insight; unstructured.

Still relevant after nearly a decade. Valuable insights from leading leadership experts. It's a wandering conversation/interview, not a structured class. I find the best way to approach this content is to 1) commit to listen to it at least twice and 2) listen for the nuggets most useful to you.

I did not find much value as I was expecting to learn more about how to work with presence and there wasn't much on it.

One good paragraph

There is one good paragraph in this book. It is the description of the way that monkey's were captured in the early days of South American jungle exploration. The prospective captors put a banana in a glass bottle. The monkey would come along and try to take the banana out of the glass bottle, but he found that he could not remove the banana and his hand simultaneously. A monkey with a glass bottle attached was pretty easy to capture.

Food for thought

Barrett Whitener's reading is engaging. This book is a must read (or listen) for anyone who wants to know how to function in the current and emerging business environment.

Disruptive Technology

This was a great listen. it looks at the 'innovator's delimma' from the perspective of that so called inferior competitor and shows exactly how easily you can be crushed if you don't respect all competitors and keep looking around corners.

I am really liking Robert Scheinfeld's current work. Not the same old thing rehashed.

Great Read

I've spent a lot of time and effort trying to figure out why things work the way they do in this world. This book just happens to have some of the answers.

Not sure ... try it if you want.

Gotta say ... not as helpful as I'd hoped for. But that totally depends on what you're looking for. Try it .. you may like it.

Like it. Great info. Worth the read. Do the work. Gosh, I wish the author wasn't so wordy though. It would make the read much more vibrant and influential.

More of the Same

I was really excited about getting this book, after reading all the reviews. It appeared as if there was something new out there. Then I read it and I am truly disappointed. It really is more of the same. I have read these concepts over and over, time and time again in various books and in the varying schools of metaphysical teachings. Yes sometimes they work, yes sometimes they don't, even here with Bob's concepts, they still don't work some of the time, so what's new???

The concepts seem to have been honed from varying resources, some which were very recognizeable,..especially the give me this or something better.

I also was bothered by the author pointing one to watch the truman show and other outside materials for a better concept of what his book was supposed to be aimed at explaining to you. His grasp of the inner ceo also was very one dimentional, and I never did get a good feel for that. One would think if the book is based on working with your inner "ceo", (better known to most who have been around the block, your higher self, or subconscious) and working the network,(better known as Jung's collective unconscious) you would first need a good feel for the inner "ceo" to begin with, I felt the author fell really flat there.

I gave it one star for one reason, I had no other choice, and I suppose it is worthy of one star as there are some people, obviously from the reviews, that just haven't been exposed to the metaphysical concepts of life. All in all I suppose it is just another book, with another secret method, that if followed diligently step by step, you will succeed at manifesting your desires.....SOME of the time!!!

Overpriced phone conversation

This is a teleseminar done over the phone with the host on the receiver interviewing a speaker who seems to have a higher quality microphone. I find this a weak format with the host being more distracting than anything else. It would be better if they'd let Ken Braly present his approach uninterupted as a continuous 1-hour presentation. For the price, I prefer buying an audio book; the information is not densed enough to warrant the $17.50 price tag. I did put 2 stars because I did learn 2 more tips but if you want to manage information and get organize, you'd be better off listening to "Getting Things Done" by David Allen. If The SpeakerNet News series would be priced $3 like the Stanford seminars, I would say it's an interesting listening. At that price, I will not repeat the experience.

Wrong Target Audience?

I found this audiobook less than useful. Is is a recorded teleseminar in "interview" format that seems to be directed at other seminar speakers. The interviewee (Mr. Braley) refers more than once to the people on the line as if they were people just looking for some tips on how to present the topic. This is said in sort of an apologetic way, as if to excuse the disorganized and vague material. I stuck through the entire recording, because it was the only thing I had to listen to during a workout. I deleted the file as soon as I returned home. If you really want help with organizing information and working more effectively, this is not the way to get it.

I've read quite a few of these financial/stock advisory books. This is one of the best. It goes over what many next door neighbor millionaires have done to achieve seven figure portfolios, and hits the mark for excellent advise and good common sense. Highly recommended.

Fantastic!

This is an excellent book, I highly recommend it. Balance out Carlson's advice with "How to pick stocks like Warren Buffett" by Timothy Vick.

Great Content, Horrible Voice

This book is 6 hours of wall-to-wall information.

Unlike books like the VongoNotes on entrepreneurship, this book does not waste time giving long, multiple elaborations, quizing, or other nonsense.

The quality is REALLY poor, and the voice will put a teenager on crack to sleep. I put myself in a locked vehicle where my sleeping would cause immediate death. This allowed me to stay awake and appreciate the wealth of information.
