A generation is rising up to care for the hurting and oppressed. Committed to changing the world, they are passionate about justice and willing to fight for it. But what would that same justice look like if we lived it in our private lives - close to home, with our family and friends? In Chivalry, Zach Hunter dares young men and women to view their lives as a quest, challenging them to develop their own personal code that will prepare them to defend others and live with civility and integrity. Zach reframes chivalry in a modern context. He looks at everyday life as a grand adventure and shares ancient wisdom from the Bible, insightful stories, and practical examples to help you develop your own code of honor - and live a life of significance.

    Find your own code
Chilvary is not dead. It is in how we treat ourselves and how we go into the world and treat others.
I am not in this author's age, gender, religous demographic but I find Zach Hunter's work incredibly moving. He writes with a bare honesty that is lacking in many books and people in this world.
This book is thicker and meatier than previous ones. It is only right, as people move from childhood to adulthood and still want to know where they fit in and how they can make their life matter. I adore a well written story that has a moral without beating someone over the head until they GET IT. Zach has a gift for honestly telling a story that can be more truthful.
We all,no matter age, gender or religious affiliation or non affiliation, need to try to be better people. I think the desire to find ways to make yourself better and to treat people better transcends where or who you are in the world. This book is a deeper look at how you can transform your inner self and inner workings to make you better and make the world better in the process. Zach understands that it all starts from within you and work outwards from there.
This book is thought provoking. You will want to read and re-read and re-re-read it.
Great book for high school and college aged Christians
I felt this book addressed specific issues of the day Christian teens and young adults are facing. I liked Hunter's thesis of choosing to live above reproach, and his style presented well the kinds of areas where Christians often slide without coming across preachy or angry. Each chapter starts with a parable, which kept the chapters interesting and fresh. If you want a book that will challenge youth culture, even Christian culture, to live at a higher standard, this is a great read.
    Excellent Thoughtful Presentation
I would recommend this to families for excellent topics for thought and discussion. It is especially for young people considering how to applying their Bible knowledge to life.
    Great Read!
Something that is sorely missing in this generation...Chivarly. Wonderful principles to live by. Inspiring! This should definitely be required reading.
    Nice book
It's like a teenager wrote it, perhaps they are the main target. Worth reading, though.

Organizational development is a transcendence of the self from a subjective disposition to a more objective disposition. As the individual develops within the organization so too will the organization develop. As efficiency may correlate to employee well-being the focus may be too develop a happier workplace. Recognition of the individual as a whole person means to also recognize the individual as part of a greater whole. The individual is to the organization as the organization is to the environment. As one transcends through the levels of consciousness he or she can become a master of consciousness and set goals toward what he or she is truly made for. The malfunction of even one part to the greater whole known as the organization or natural holarchy can result in the dissolving of the organization.

Title: Gettysburg Lessons in the Digital Age
    Author: Paul Lloyd Hemphill
    Narrator: Paul Lloyd Hemphill
    Format: Unabridged
Length: 7 hrs and 1 min
    Language: English
    Release date: 06-21-13
    Publisher: One White's Pond Press
Ratings: 1 of 5 out of 1 votes
Genres: Self Development, Motivation & Inspiration
    Publisher's Summary:
The book answers one simple two-part question: "What did this person do during the battle of Gettysburg, and how can I benefit from what this person did?" For example, an officer had to make a quick decision to take advantage of a situation when all the facts he needed where right in front of him. Lesson? With all the facts available, you can make a smart decision and you can make it fast.
Here are 88 short stories, with more than 220 life-lessons that instruct the reader on how to be successful in everyday situations. The dominant theme of the book is leadership and how it's already alive and pumping in your DNA. It is this inherent quality, says the author, that provides us the motivation and inspiration to succeed everyday.
    Critic Reviews:
"Hemphill's writing style is lucid and succinct, and the rapid-fire, short bursts of information, examples, and applications can be read in small doses to allow the reader to dwell on each story and find practical self-applications. The book can be read in daily journal format, with one or two stories at a time to challenge the reader to excel and emulate the example." (Scott Mingus, Sr.)

    andwatch what happens
I donât read Civil War books. I have zero interest. However, this book made me do a double-take.
A friend suggested it, and to humor him I agreed to take a look. At random, I opened the
book to a story of Francis Barlow and learned, from what he did during the battle of Gettysburg,
how to focus on results and not on excuses. This book isnât history, but it uses history to illustrate
real life lessons you can use in your personal, family, and business life. Get the book and pass it
on to someone who has no interest in the Civil War, and watch what happens.
    __________
Gettysburg Far Beyond My 11th Grade History Class
First off, I'd like to say that as a second-year college student, I found this book both useful and insightful with relevant lessons. Just like many 19 year olds, when I thought of Gettysburg I thought of the boring history classes I took in high school. Of course I know how devastating (and historic) the battle was, but I never would have imagined the amount of valuable lessons that could come out of a few days in 1863.
One story that Paul Hemphill details is that of Judson Kilpatrick, a creative "Boy General" who proved that impossible is nothing but an illusion. Faced with stress and tasks each and every day, there are times I feel like things truly are impossible. Even though I'm not commanding soldiers in battle, the lesson of never giving up and becoming a leader is still practical and applicable to my everyday life. I really loved how none of the short stories were overwhelming in length, they were quick and relatively easy reads that kept me entertained. Even better, the lessons are clear, concise, and complete.

    Editorial Reviews:
The Chicken Soup for the Soul series turns to the game of hoops in Chicken Soup for the Soul - Inside Basketball: 101 Great Hoop Stories from Players, Coaches, and Fans.
Edited by series co-founders Jack Canfield and Mark Victor Hansen and Orlando Magic co-founder Pat Williams, this book collects stories about practicing faith, confronting fears, and helping others on and off the hard court. In one chapter, a coach tells the true tale of a star recruit who died from a heart ailment and how his team sought inspiration from it. Another story reveals NBA star Jermaine ONeals relationship with a cancer-stricken child.
With a tone reminiscent of a favorite high-school teacher, Kevin Stillwell lets the power of the material take the front seat in an understated but positive performance.

    Banish worry, fear and stress!
Stress, fear, worry - all negative emotions that crept into our lives at anytime. Now you can prepare yourself each day to face the unexpected with Shelley Hitz `s new book - "Life Without Stress".
Shelly guides you through each of 30 days by identifying a strengthening concept, reinforcing the concept with scripture and then using her calming words, she describes how she goes through the day based on that particular concept, allowing God to lead. In the end, she finishes by asking you to answer some self reflecting questions, giving you the chance to reflect on what you have read and how it applies to you and your life.
I really enjoyed the calming feeling I got from the words that Shelley writes. She shows us that anyone can be free of worry, stress and fear by placing it where it belongs - in God's hands.
I did receive a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
    Live Without Stress
Boy has this book been a God send. Especially now when I have so much going on my plate.
I've read the book, now I want the audio because it's so soothing, also I believe playing it will make my subconscience take notice and I will act on it. It's amazing what the brain can do. I fully believe I cause my own stress. I've learned that sitting still is the hardest thing for me to do. I always have to do something. This book has helped me realize not only is it ok to relax with God but it's nessasary for my whole being. Being with God helps my mind, body and soul.
    Thanks Shelley.

The stories she shares and the answers she discovers may surprise you. If you put them into practice, they may even transform you, enabling you to experience the peace God wants you to have.
