    Editorial Reviews:
Martha Hamilton and Mitch Weiss adapt this charming Russian fable of two frog sisters, one lazy and the other adventurous. When the braver younger frog leads her older sister into a bucket of milk, will they able to make it out alive? The twangy soundtrack helps set the scene, putting listeners somewhere rural and down-home as Hamilton and Weiss perform with a spirited energy and imagination. A Tale of Two Frogs is a fun and surprising experience for kids, who will learn the value of courage and perseverance.

    Critic Reviews:
"Children already have a ticket for the Magic Train tucked within their imaginations. Sally Crabtree collects those tickets and offers kids a whimsical ride through seven different play-filled stations. The asymmetrically quirky illustrations are a treat (kids can follow aliens, faeries and sea creatures as they find their favorite stops)...Get on the train, chug down the track, and jump out at the destination of your dreams. If you don't know how to play, ask your favorite little kid to serve as conductor, then sit back and enjoy the ride." (Sioux Falls Woman Magazine)

    WASTE OF MONEY
THIS IS THE WORST BAREFOOT BOOK I HAVE EVER BOUGHT. IT IS VERY SLOW AND BORING. MOST BAREFOOT BOOKS ARE PEPPY AND ENGAGING FOR CHILDREN, SO THIS IS A DISAPPOINTMENT.
It's a good book. Mytwo kids love it and the song ...
It's a good book.Mytwo kids love it and the song is good ,too.
Fun song! Great for a writing prompt!!
Great song! I used the song for a third grade writing lesson. I didn't show them the book because it would have been way to primary for them. My grandchildren ages (4-6) like the book and song too.
    3 year old loves it
Adorable illustrations, catchy tune and very appropriate for 3-4 year old who plays this DVD every chance she gets. She has memorized all of the 13 Barefoot books that she has received including this one. The book has a tracking ball for the words in the DVD to get her started with future reading.
    Five Stars
Excellent!!! Children in my class love this book and cd! Came when promised!

© Margaret MacDonald; (P) August House Publishers, Inc.
    Editorial Reviews:
This collaborative effort between storyteller Margaret Read MacDonald and musician Richard Scholtz brings to life seven folktales. MacDonald skillfully adapts the folktales with rhyming refrains that, when combined with Scholtz's lively, lilting music, leave the listener humming long after the audio has stopped playing. The music serves as more than decoration and often works to further the action, changing pitch to match the events of the stories. MacDonald is a compelling storyteller, with a voice that exudes joy and enthusiasm and that demands the listener's attention. The production invites repeat listening.
    Members Reviews:
    Great for the Little Ones!
"Once again, Margaret and Richard create a CD that is great fun for the little ones. Plenty of repeating lines, music and "sound effects" make this a fine listen for preschoolers. The tales are told with respect for both the stories and listeners, no matter their age. Occasionally the volume of the music overpowers the words, but those moments are very few. Regardless of your age, if you are a collector of folktales and styles, add this CD to your collection." -Storyteller.net Reviews
