Indy Savage is the daughter of a cop, a bookstore owner, and a wild child. She's loved Lee Nightingale since she was five years old. Once she was old enough, she would practically throw herself at him, only to be rejected. After feeling humiliated by the last rejection, she made sure to avoid him for good and move on. Now she's in trouble because of her coffee 'artiste' Rosie who apparently has some diamonds these men want. He has dealt pot to the wrong people and now they seem to be after him, which in turn means her too. How do they know? They get shot at. The only one who can help them is the one she wants to keep at arms lengths, Lee.

Lee Nightingale is well... who the hell knows. But he is an alpha bad-ass and has a command center, nuff said... Lee has wanted Indy for quite some time. He was waiting for his moment where they would both be more stable and not crazy hormone ridden teens. Unfortunately Indy has been avoiding him for a decade. Now, he has a chance with her and he isn't giving it up. He will do anything to protect her *sigh*, and anything to have her. I will admit, I was not impressed by him in the beginning. He came off as a total A-hole and he could be too blunt. But as I kept listening, he grew on me. Plus, he was really sexy and delicious, so it wasn't hard.

This book had some action, some quite hilarious moments, Cool Action, a bit of steam (nothing too crazy hot and that disappointed me a bid), and of course some sexy alpha bad-ass men. I was so frustrated, these two, were interrupted SO many times throughout the book while they were 'trying' to get it on. I felt their pain... All of the characters were a bunch of oddballs but together they were all perfect and the banter was just awesome. There were a few moments however, that I felt the story dragged on a bit, which had me wondering in my mind but then the story would redeem it's self once again.

All in all it was a Ok listen but i'm not sure that i will continue with the series.

Ugh, a fail for me.

DNF at 50% (7 hours of listening). I give 1 star for the book plus an additional star for the narration, which was actually pretty good.

If you are a hard-core, die-hard Kristen Ashley fan, look the other way! Shield your eyes from this review because, I promise you, it will only make you mad!

I honestly don't get the appeal of KA. This is my 4th book from her and they ALL feel the SAME! The SAME! Those staccato sentences, the way the heroines are always wrong and figure out that the man was right all along, the helpless females... I actually think that her books have turned me off from "alpha males" for a long time.

Aside from the recycled plot, my biggest issue with this was Indy. I haven't met a heroine that personified "Too Stupid To Live" so perfectly in... maybe ever.

Humorous refeshing read

Would you listen to Love at First Date again? Why?

Yes I thought it was a sweet, humors read with a lovely narrator, it was nice to have a fun loving read that let you just enjoy.

Which scene was your favorite?

The picture of her, and of course when he pulled the hairball out of the dog and she asked him if he was a vet.

Any additional comments?

A cute humorous short romance about looking for love in all the wrong places only to find it right in front of you where you least expected. People can be too much alike or think they want something they do not. Sometimes compatibility is overrated we can be too compatible or think we want one thing when in fact it isnt what we want at all.

Elle felt she needed to find someone compatible she signed up on Detailed Dating site. She did her profile and got her dates. The dates were all wrong she found what she really wanted was what she didnt want at all. It was really funny watching her date and how the dates went.

I loved how a dog brought two people together, it was very funny. I loved that dog. Henry was a very sweet wonderful character who gave a lot of his self. There are some misunderstandings which turn out to be cute. The author gives you a well told story which will keep you smiling and the narrator makes you chuckle with her wonderful voices. There are so many lovely characters in this store, each bring so much to the tale that will keep you interested. Before you know it the book is over and you cant wait for the next in this series.

This was a cute little read that is a funny clean reads about finding the mate of your dreams at first site. If you want an easy fast fun read this is the book for you.

4.5 Lickable Rock Stars!

First, I read this book on my kindle app and I decided to try it in audio. Either way, the story held my attention and I really enjoyed this 1st book in the series. This book begins with Evelyn going out for her 21st birthday, she wants to get a little wild, have a little fun. So she goes to Vegas with her best friend. The last thing she remembers is taking shots after midnight... the next morning she wakes up with a ring on her finger and a tattoo on her ass. And she can't remember a damn thing. Evelyn has her life mapped out. Getting married to a rockstar she just met on her 21st birthday is not part of that plan. David isn't happy that Evelyn doesn't remember anything. He married her for a reason, he fell for her right away, and now he doesn't know what to do about it. Its a pretty messed up situation. Once the media catches wind of this its even more crazy. Eve and David go away for a bit to get away from the crowds and decide what to do. To divorce or not to divorce... that is the question.While at Davids home away, the couple starts to get to know one another. Evelyn realizes that she really likes David. She may even be falling for him. She is afraid to tell him her feelings. David still feels hurt and betrayed that Evelyn remembers nothing of their night together. One thing is pretty obvious... they both want each other.

Once they go back to LA, everything changes. There are a lot of issues, miscommunications etc. Things get screwed up. Its a little heart breaking. David & Eve spend some time apart.

Just a touch of drama and angst, but not overkill. A wonderful rockstar book that will keep a smile on your face!

Nothing can prepare you.

Within the first 40 minutes of this audio I was chuckling and laughing hard. Needless to say I kept going for the entire book. Very few authors get me so caught up in a book that I just want more so this was a nice bonus. I shall definitely be searching for more Kylie Scott books. I think Andi Arndt was perfect for this book. The combination of author and narrator is a big deal for me. I would rather read text than listen to a horrible narration. I will definitely be trying other books narrated by Andie Arndt as well. I am sure this will be a book I can listen to over again on those days when I can't find anything I like on audible!

Loving These Rock Gods!

I read this a few years ago but since I just decided to listen to the rest of series I thought I'd start from the beginning. I loved this story. The characters were great and even though David is a Rock God, he just seemed like a regular guy which I loved. There relationship's beginning was unconventional to say the least but I think that helped this feel like less of an Insta-Love story.

Looking for a steamy, no angst, pure swoon-fest?? Come Away with Me by Kristen Proby was a very sweet love story. The first in the With Me in Seattle series. The flow, the writing style, the feel of the story, the characters, everything just instantly hooked me.The perfect blend of sweet, angst-free romance and super hot sex. The story starts off when Natalie first encounters Luke while she is taking pictures one morning on the beach. Luke approaches her and demands that he give him her camera. The thing is, Natalie is unsure why this handsome stranger is enraged with her. Frankly, she thinks she is being mugged. Once the misunderstanding is cleared up, Luke realizes that Natalie has no idea that he is a famous actor (or was one) and she really was taking pictures of the scenery. Needless to say, the man becomes intrigued. So ensues the beginnings of their sweet romance. Luke loves the fact that Natalie is not with him due to his fame and fast becomes smitten with this beautiful sassy woman. Natalie also falls fast and hard for the charming and utterly gorgeous man who has her heart beating faster. This book has no external drama or bad guy. No cheating, major stupidity, long separations or anything will make you threaten bodily harm. Its solely focused on the romance between Luke and Natalie! Their story is incredibly steamy and this is an erotic romance that has a lot of sex scenes. So, what made it 4 stars instead of 5? A few times I wanted to roll my eyes because of how unrealistic some parts were but this is fictional romance so I have no right to complain. I felt their relationship progressed super sonic fast. And lastly, and this might sound weird, but some parts of the story just felt a little too perfect at times. Too many endearments, too many 'perfect' scenes. However, this book was still a gem! The characters were fantastic! I feel like the author put a lot of time into writing the perfect details, details that you actually want to know, not boring ones. I'm really looking forward to the other books in the series! If you love steamy romance without excess drama, then definitely add this book. Can't wait to enjoy the next book, Fight With Me!

Awesome, witty, sweet, exciting, sexy, sexy, sexyLaw Man, the third book in theDream Manseries is all kinds of greatness! Mara & Mitch live in the same apartment complex. They have each been crushing on each other secretly for the past 4 years but for various reasons have never acted on them. When, one day, Mara suddenly gets a desperate call from her dead beat cousins two little children, Billie (girl) and Billy (boy), saying that they ran away from their home and need her help, she runs off to rescue them and Mitch comes with her. Mara suddenly ends up with custody of them and Mitch is willing to do everything in his power to help her and the kids. Serious drama ensues involving the Russian mob, druggie trailer trash, custody battles, family issues, as well as a swoon-worthy romance, a whole lot of healing, and the heart-warming building of a beautiful, if unconventional, family unit held together by a whole lot of love and earned trust. I adored all the characters in this book especially swoon worthy Mitch who has stolen my heart!! Seriously hot, family oriented, loving, drool-worhty badass Alpha cop.This book is by far one of my favorite Kristen Ashley books. I would highly recommend it to everyone. Law Man is definitely a Ten Point Five listen

Ive been waiting for Detective Mitch Lawsons story ever since he first appeared in Mystery Man. Wow! He is one super amazing, extremely hot, all around good guy. *sigh* Turns out hes interested in his neighbor, Mara, the shy, low self-esteemed, beautiful but super sweet girl next-door. Together they make a really nice couple that you cant help but want to see have their HEA.

I loved this book. It had everything Ive come to expect in a Kristen Ashley story. Romance, sassy heroine, sexy alpha males, great characters, action and very funny dialogue. Every scene with the trailer trash twins had my laughing out loud! That is some batsh*t crazy family!

I love KA and her unique writing style. Add to it Kate Russells narration and you have another winner in the Dream Man Series. Now I cant wait until Motorcycle Man.

The Dream Man Series is Irresistible

This was another great listen from Kristen Ashleys Dream Man series. Although it started out a little slow, the overall story was fantastic. I loved the fact that both characters were a little bit older (in their 40s) and more mature. They didnt fight over stupid things and always managed to work things out by talking about their problems. Despite all the drama from ex-spouses, kids, etc. they had each others backs and were completely committed to one another. I could really relate to this couple.

Kristen Ashley is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. I love her unique writing style and Kate Russells narration is spot on.

Another 5 star listen!

This book began with a bang...literally ;)

One moment Tessa is having hot sex with 'Jake' the man she's been dating for the past 4 months & the next she discovers 'Jake' is actually an undercover cop whose been investigating her. (Brock Lucas is a DEA agent that we originally met in book 1, Mystery Man.) During her interrogation we learn that Tessa O'Harahas had a rough past. For 10 years she was married to Damian Heller, whom turned out to be a drug criminal. The Denver Police Department thought she was involved in her ex's activities but instead hear a heartbreaking confession about the life she endured in the hands of her ex-husband. And of course, while the questioning was taking place, Brock was listening in and discovers the horrible dark secret she voices out loud. This was not the confession the cops expected & ultimately she is found innocent. Tess feels betrayed when she realizes that Jake/Brock was using her. She's so hurt because she finally had allowed herself to open up & trust a man again. Three months later, after giving her space to heal, Brock shows up and in his typical, no-bullshit, we-will-deal-with-this-properly attitude, demands she listen to him and hear his side of the story. The combination of her being reasonable and him not playing games and being completely honest about things leads them into a beautiful relationship.

The story grabbed my interest right away because I'm a real sucker for all misunderstood tattooed bad boys. 4.5 Stars! Shaw has been in love with Rule since she was fourteen. Shaw has been a big part of the Archer family since the day Remy (Rule's twin brother) basically took her under his wing, but its always been Rule shes secretly been in love with. When Remys tragic death deals the family a blow, Shaw is determined to keep them together. She picks Rule up every Sunday for brunch with the family to make sure he goes. Each time she does, her heart breaks a little more having to witness the string of one night stands paraded in front of her every time.Rule has no idea that Shaw has loved him so long. He always assumed that Remy and Shaw were a couple, so he never paid much attention to her. Plus, she is the polar opposite to Rule. Hes all tatted & pierced up and does what he wants, shes the rich perfect princess always striving to live up to everyones expectations. Rules feels tortured through every Sunday brunch with his family that blames him for his brothers death. This book has delicious sex scenes, major Alpha tendencies, wild crazy colored mohawks, extreme tattooed bad boys, family drama, and psycho path ex boyfriends , etc, etc... Knowing Shaw had feelings for Rule for so long made my heart break for her. I always want unrequited love to get noticed and returned, so it was very satisfying to see this come about.

I would title it "Bored with You"

Story - Okay, it's my fault. I listened to Bared to You and Reflected in You and didn't learn my lesson about this series. The problem is that I love the story of Ava and Gideon, their tortured pasts and their hot chemistry... but I'm getting really bored with the constant sex. There's a saying that applies here, "Less is more."

The first two books had a great story line but in this one the story stagnates. Except for some good stuff toward the end, it's all over the place with side characters and little filler subplots. Why? This isn't the conclusion to the trilogy we expected, so the author adds stupid fluff to stretch the series. Think about this ... five books for a romance??? I'm torn whether to continue with the series. I want to see everything tied up with a big happy bow, but I fear Gideon and Ava will just F*#& for 15 of the next 20 book-hours and then die stuck together.

Narrator - Love the narrator. She's got a velvety, sexy voice, and she can do a pretty good guy voice too! Her performance lends class to the story.

Overall - If you like lots and lots of steamy sex, you will love this book. Otherwise, you might find it boring.

Steamy Conclusion to a Popular Trilogy??? what?

This is such a hard review for me to write. I was so excited to read the Steamy Conclusion to a Popular Trilogy as described by Audible. Imagine my surprise to learn that this trilogy is NOT in fact a trilogy and this is NOT in fact the conclusion. Oh its steamy, but there is no real ending. Turns out there are in fact 2 more books planned. I must admit I felt cheated. (especially by the author's end comment)

All that aside, this installment was very much like the last one for me. It ran both HOT and COLD. At times the story was really flowingwe were getting answers and some real advancements in the plot. However, most of the time it just felt like so much fluff and filler. I didnt really care for most of the subplots with the secondary characters either. And as a side note, I really dislike Bret!

Im giving this one 3 stars for Jill Redfelds brilliant narration and for the hot and steamy sections.

Lackluster

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I wouldn't go so far as to say this book was a waste of my time. I'm not entirely sure if Sylvia Day rushed to release this novel but it wasn't as compelling as the first two in the series.

Seems Like An X Rated YA Book- Has Promising Start

Sky was not a typical teenage girl. She and her friend snuck boys in their rooms after their mothers would be asleep and they spend time at one another's homes like they were sisters. This in itself is nothing odd when dealing with teen 'BFF' relationships. However, Sky has some pretty strict guidelines she has to follow. She was adopted by her mother who remains single, and never had a serious boyfriend since she adopted Sky at age 4. While her friends go to high school and have computers, televisions, cell phones and internet, Sky's mother doesn't allow any of these modern technologies for her daughter. Not only is Sky homeschooled, but she hasn't been exposed to the media or things like Facebook and Twitter.

When Sky bothers her mother to the point where she wants to spend her senior year in a high school, they decide she may do so. Right away Sky meets Holder, and immediately has a strong attraction to him. This is so odd because Sky spend a lot of time making out with random boys but really never felt attracted to any of them. It was just time to waste and Sky maintained her virginity while basically blowing off boys who wanted relationships with her. When she met Holder, her world was turned upside down.

The problem with Holder is he's weird. He seemed sort of stalker-ish at first and at times, creepy as well. However, the attraction could not be denied and as Sky's relationship with Holder continued to progress. We find out that there is a reason for Holder's strange behaviour as past secrets begin to reveal themselves. Sky's entire identity is shaken to the core as she quickly goes through a journey of self discovery which reveals a horrific part of the life she had been purposely forgetting.

The suspense while Sky met Holder and the very graphic sex scenes made the book very interesting, and until half way through I was hooked. After we find out about Sky's past, the book starts to drag and it becomes very obvious what the conclusion will be. There is far too much time spent on Sky and Holder 'making out' and far too much description of their kisses.
