God is certainly married to the backslider! I'm so glad about that. Aren't you? The prodigal son might have made some mistakes, but what's important is that he knew how to return with humility and gratefulness. Which of the two sons are we like - the younger, repentanr one, or the older arrogant one? You decide. This whole chapter is about the list being found.

This chapter is all about how things should be done. It demonstrates the stark contrast between man's intentions behind order, and God's intention for order. Who's side are YOU on?

Jesus is doing - what seems to be - NEW things in this episode! He begins to give women equal status as men by calling a woman 'The Daughter of Abraham' for the very 1st time. He also warns people who think that they're going to make it in the Kingdom of Heaven that they better be careful unless they don't make it in! He lets people know that just because you live under the teachings of God doesn't mean that you're part of God's family. Listen and understand!

It's getting to the end, and Jesus had got a lot if lessons to teach. Know the sign of the Times!

Jesus teaches several lessons about prayer through precept and example, while at the same time fighting ridicule from religious leaders. He finally talks on all of them, calling them hypocrites!
