Finally, we meet again! After a month of not filming, I wanted to come back and have a very casual, nonchalant conversation about the negative effects of being in your own head and conforming to comfort. As this episode is filmed in a new location, I talk about the gains that can be possessed through branching out and coming to terms with the fact that...well, "It's not that deep".
With so many culminating, celebratory life events coming up, I wanted to make sure that we all have keep our mental clarity in check. It can be easy to compare ourselves to the person next to us and pick ourselves apart over what's missing from our appearance, personalities, etc. This episode is here to address the relatable feeling of self-consciousness during social events and what remedies can be used to reverse it.
Ever find yourself endlessly chasing perfection? Chase no more... because it's not real. In episode three, we discuss how draining it can be to try to control the aspects of life in which we have no control over. We establish that life is ever-changing and constantly running after flawlessness is a flaw in its own. This goose-chase leads you to a dead-end where you'll find yourself fatigued and depleted. Perfection is simply unattainable and the strive toward it can become ugly very fast. Join us to chat about shifting our time in energy into controllable parts of our lives where we can see and feel the outcomes rather than mope over what could-have been.
In this Episode of Listen to This When _, we openly discuss the weight of FOMO and how it can kill one's night because let's be honest, none of us actually enjoy watching everyone post about what a fun time they're having when we weren't invited, right? In addition, we also discuss how to contain FOMO and how to start developing a different mindset in regards to it. Instead of wasting your precious time obsessing over everyone else's life, learn how to neglect triggers and reflect that time onto yourself. Join me for a friendly (but also brutally honest) pep-talk and embrace your non-existent invite because trust me, you're not missing out.
Welcome, welcome! For the first episode of Listen to This When _, I wanted to kick off the podcast with a conversation about New Years and New Years resolutions. Personally, I've always felt so much pressure to create unrealistic goals for the upcoming year. I want this episode to serve as a safe space for you to ponder about wether or not you want to create New Years resolutions, what you want them to be, and how to determine wether or not they will benefit you in the long run. Additionally, I show you how to create your own goals for the New Year without feeding into society's unattainable standards, and even share some of my own!
