    Publisher's Summary:
OK, you might not have heard of me.
    Not yet.
I hope that the next few hours you spend with me will change that and will also change the way you think about work and life and limitations and possibilities.
I have been called an observer of people and situations. I am constantly mulling over why people do what they do and how they can do it more effectively.
But more than that, I am a doer. I like to dream big dreams and make them come true.
In addition to running a successfully consulting business for over 35 years and raising three successful adult children with my wife Nancy, I have also found time in the last 10 years to complete six Ironman triathlons - number six in 2016, as a way of celebrating my 66th birthday.
Along the way the folks at Inc. magazine thought my approach to work and life was so unique they saw fit to write a four-page profile about my business and me.
Others it seems although thought I had something to add on the topic of life and work.
Chaz Allen was one such person.
I met Chaz Allen, who narrates the audiobook version of this work, almost 20 years ago when we collaborated on my first audiobooks. It was his suggestion that I start to publish a monthly article of my thoughts and observations. From that suggestion, Secrets of Success was born.
That was over 12 years and 150 articles ago. I was overwhelmed with the success and acceptance of my writings. It has grown to a world-wide audience. Readers from England to Australia. from India to Poland and across the United States, read my Secrets of Success monthly offerings and that readership continues to grow.
Wanting to share my ideas with as many people as possible I've taken 49 of those articles and gathered them into this book.

    Have pen and paper ready!
Michael's insights into business and life are great. He gives down- to- earth advice that is tangible and immediately applicable. If you buy the audiobook, have a pen and paper ready to take notes! I would highly recommend this to anyone who is in business, no matter the size of that business.
    There's Only One
    Any additional comments?
Twenty years ago I started my business with a home equity loan, 2 part-time interns and Michael Bryant. Twenty years later I have a thriving company with a nationwide clientele, 35 full-time employees, but still only one Michael Bryant. That's because there's only one like him. His wisdom is all you need to turn the business labyrinth into a course aimed for success. Listen to Michael, he's the real thing!
A must listen/read for business AND life
Michael Bryant is one of the most insightful individuals you could meet or learn from. Combine that with his captivating story telling ability, and you have a resource to not only improve your business, but also improve your life. "Lessons on Life and Business" will do just that for you. Each one is relatable and valuable, and will ignite a flame of curiosity within, as to how you can apply that lesson to your own life.
I highly recommend this book and in fact suggest listening to it multiple times as that is what I have found as the best way to get the most out of it. I will also share with friends and family, who I know want to improve in any and all areas of life.
    Thank you Michael!

Small book, delivers the goods, low price. Thumbs up.
I ordered this a few days ago and it really helped me jump-start my own Kindle book efforts. Two of the negative reviews seem to be very put off by spelling errors and other minor glitches, but overall this was a great bargain for the price and the info was usable. C Demmer's overview of the Kindle publishing process is a nice, succinct introduction to the process. Thanks Chris, for a worthwhile guide.

Life is too short and too precious to allow ourselves to be sidetracked by impossible people and the impossible problems they create. That life is short and precious is a truism, but it is a truism that resonates deeply in the hearts of those of us who have dipped our toes into the waters of middle age or beyond. Perhaps the realization comes when we hit a 40th birthday or a 15th wedding anniversary. All of a sudden, life is flying by.
What we want at that point more than anything is to pay attention to what matters. We want time for precious things, whatever unique combination of family and friends and hobbies and faith and community brings each of you your unique sense of joy and fulfillment. That is what makes this a genuinely different kind of self-help book.
The book is friendly, conversational and entertaining. It is written is to be a quick satisfying listen. That airplane ride to Chicago becomes an entertaining learning experience.

Useful Compact Guide to Successfully Work with/around/avoid "Crazy" People
Can't say enough about how much I enjoyed this book. I wish I had read this when I first started my job- it would have reduced stress and helped to navigate around the crazies! I would definitely recommend this book to those just getting started (giving a copy to my cousin graduating from business school this spring), but also for more seasoned workers as it provides concrete tips on how to determine if you're working with a crazy person, and more importantly, how to make your life easier AND work with these people! This is a short read and comes with a cheat sheet to help you remember the tips. One of my favorite chapters was if it feels good to say it, don't say it! It's better to take the high road, and vent to others. There are also hilarious cartoons leading into the chapters that I could definitely relate to. This is better than any training I've attended on working with difficult people or working with different "types" of work styles. No matter what field you work in, you'll find practical advise from an expert in crisis management.
A great book for every work environment
A great book for every work environment. Concise and easy to read but don't let it's amusing facade fool you - the advice is invaluable.
    Very Helpful--and Fun Too!
This is a quick, breezy read on a topic that's very important for anyone working in a job who wants to actually get things done. For retirees, it raises one's consciousness about who the people are that one really should just simply avoid if at all possible, such as those who refuse to address issues substantively and logically, but instead merely obfuscate and try to deflect negative attention onto others. Great stuff... I wish I had had this book in hand early in my career!
Glad I learned early what steps to take when I ...
These are the critical concepts they donât teach you in school.

    Too Basic
Even though this is geared towards beginners I thought it didn't cover most topics in any depth. Honestly most of the things covered I already learned but it did clear up a few things about omniscient point of view, but I wished it had gone into more detail. The section on agents did tell me things I didn't know, and that alone was worth the price of the book.

This book gave me many good ideas that will improve my stage presence and presentation. Good speakers usually aim to look like they are speaking effortlessly, tossing off words as they come to mind. What you don't see is the preparation that paved the way for the polished performance. It's all a act! You can do it too, if you plan ahead. Once you know what your goal is, and you know what your audience want, you can tart strategizing. There is no single strategy that will guarantee success. How you plan depends on variables.

    Format: Unabridged
    Length: 41 mins
    Language: English
    Release date: 10-11-16

    Publisher's Summary:
If you have always dreamed of being a writer, you can live your dreams by writing your own book and then self-publishing. Self-publishing is the way that many writers today are choosing to get their book out to the public. Self-publishing today is not the same as it was years ago when you had to spend thousands of dollars to publish your book. You can self-publish a book for as little as $500 when you choose a good self-publishing service online.
The first thing that you need to do is to know your genre. The one rule of writing is that you should write about what you know. Take a look at your interests and the type of books that you read before you decide on your genre. Your book should never be just about making money - it should be about something for which you have a passion. There are many different genres available in both fiction and nonfiction. Before you start your book, have a plan of what it will be about and the genre it will fill. You need to have a specific genre when you are writing a book so that you will be able to market it properly. Some books will cross genre lines - such as paranormal and romance. Some books will fit neatly into a specific genre. It should be clear what the book is about so that people will be interested enough to buy the book.
If you are writing a nonfiction book, there are also genres. You need to make your book stand out among the rest in a way that will set it apart from other books of the same genre. If you are writing an Italian cookbook, for example, how do you make it stand out from the other Italian cookbooks that are on the market already? Once you find your genre and know what you are writing about, you should start to think of marketing your book.

    Title: How to Network
Subtitle: Build Instant Trust & Respect with Anyone You Meet

    Narrator: Tam Pham
    Format: Unabridged
    Length: 58 mins
    Language: English
    Release date: 10-11-16
    Publisher: Tam Pham
Ratings: 5 of 5 out of 5 votes
    Genres: Business, Career Skills
    Publisher's Summary:
    With this book, you will:
My name is Tam and through networking, I was able to land my dream job as the Entrepreneurship Director for Camp BizSmart, teaching at places like Stanford University. I got to host events and connect with major influencers like venture capitalists, investors, and entrepreneurs at VC firms on Sand Hill Road. I was able to land speaking gigs for clients like Rotary International, AIESEC United States, and TEDx!
Because of my network, I have to consistently turn down job opportunities from powerful people because I simply cannot do them all. I'm not saying this to brag, I'm sharing this with you to prove that anyone can do this. When I graduated from school, I was nobody. The best advice I got was, "Just go network!"
But honestly, what does "networking" even mean? Does that mean I have to suck up to people for them to like or notice me? Why would business professionals want to talk to a young guy like me? I was confused. No one taught me how to network. I always imagined we had to exchange business cards with each other and talk about golf.
Fast forward two years later, I have been blessed to be connected with many influential people including entrepreneurs, authors, investors, business professionals, creative artists, and more. This book will show you step by step what mindset you should have, proven tactics to connect with people, and how to get started.
    What are you waiting for?

I realized that my perception of networking has been completely outdated and dull. Tam was able to refresh my frameworks and ...
When I first saw this book, I was a bit skeptical considering how young Tam is, but he has definitely won me over. I want to leave a long review, however it would spoil the book considering how short and concise it is. I will say this though. After reading this book, I realized that my perception of networking has been completely outdated and dull. Tam was able to refresh my frameworks and open me up to the core concepts of what networking should really be about. In essence, this book can make a difference in anyone's lives, but the secret is that you have to practice these concepts and apply them or else you'll just continue to miss out on countless opportunities. Lets just say that I am extremely thankful that I encountered this book going into my second semester of college
It actually made me realize that I was not as bad at networking as I thought
Read this book because I'm an introvert and I felt the idea of networking to be scary and had to do with greedy people getting what they want (people using each other). This book actually has convinced me otherwise. It actually made me realize that I was not as bad at networking as I thought. It made me realize how many opportunities I had gotten in life by being genuinely interested in the people I eventually got opportunites from (and from whom I didn't expect it which is a key belief of his). He actually touches on a lot things Carnegie (how to make friends and influence people) but actually is better because what he says is more contemporary (age of smart phones and social networks).
Read it easily one afternoon and fully recommend it to anyone.
Powerful, Easy to Read, and Genuine
To start off, i just want to congratulate Tam on the book, and It's absolutely crazy to see him grow into a true professional and human being.
