Not up to par

What disappointed you about Learn Hindi - Word Power 101?

First of all - there is a strong social etiquette in India and addressing a stranger by their informal salutation "Tum" or the bordering on insulting "Tu" is not even covered. Secondly, no mention is made of why a verb would be conjugated in a particular way, nor is there any introduction to the most basic structures of grammar. This approach fails the minute one encounters a native Hindi speaker who will use words sounding vaguely familiar but are used in the context of a masculine or feminine noun, and you will stumble badly through the understanding and response.

Has Learn Hindi - Word Power 101 turned you off from other books in this genre?

Avoid this like the plague as it is useless

There should be a warning issued with this audiobook ( which is what I bought it as ) - it cannot be used as a stand alone audio . It must be listened to whilst looking at the accompanying PDF version . The reason is that the audio is just rapid fire Cantonese words and phrases with no English translation to be heard . I have bought other Cantonese audios from Innovative Language and they are good but this one is a stinker and to be avoided altogether .

Useless -- and worse --

I "purchased" this when offered for free, from "innovativelanguage" -- then discovered my bank account was charged for it by "Audible".

Amazon cops to the fact that "Audible" (or "innovativelanguage"?) is wholly owned by Amazon. But Amazon isn't in a hurry to take responsibility for the scam/s engaged in by "Audible" (or is it "innovativelanguage"?).

Very helpful phrases for a tourist- I'd like a coffee, there's a problem with the room, etc. the catchy music really does help! Great explanation of grammar too. Highly recommend, great value.

Easy to follow, the only thing against it is the lack of any more Turkish on Audible.
