What would have made Learn Greek with Innovative Language's Proven Language System - Level 05: Advanced better?

I can't believe this is the same file available for free and that Audible had the nerve to sell it to me. It is not even an edited version minus commercials. You will spend a lot of time listening to the sales pitch not just at the beginning but also at the starts of most lessons.

Effective and pleasurable

Starting from complete zero you are still perfectly able to learn basic Swedish with very little effort and in a pleasurable way. Importantly they make it dynamic in terms of "interactive" dialogues, but specially in terms of phrase structure. You get to "play" with the word order when the sentence requires so, and surprisingly with their lead you get to do it naturally! This creates a comfortable zone for you to dear open your mouth and trying express your self instead of being blocked if you don't remember by heart the exact thing you are supposed to say.

Further, the speakers they chose have very pleasant voices and accents, in striking contrast to many of other of these books. I bought so far 5 different audiobooks to learn Swedish. The other four were an irritating waist of time that make you loose interest and courage. This book is clearly pretty expensive, but SO WORTH IT!! :))))

Waste of a Download

Not worth the time it took to download! I was interested in advancing my Cantonese skills and was excited to find this was available for free. I should've known... if it's too good to be true, it probably is.

First, I had to create an audible.com account. (Note: it's FREE to open an account, and you don't need to sign up for a membership plan. "Non-Members" pay the a-la-carte price instead of the "credits" version that are offered to members.)

Next, I had to download their proprietary software to my computer (only to find out later, I couldn't convert their *.aa file into an mp3, but it's not like it mattered... read on...)

Then, I finally DL'd the audiobook (yes, I saw that it was only 17 mins long, but I figured it was free, so I'd take it anyway). Well, as it turns out, the first 11 mins are spent on a useless narration plugging the "Innovative Language Learning" system, as well as a plug for the website. The last 6 mins was finally a narration of a story that the listener needs to follow with the included PDF. The description should be advertised as a 6 min lesson!

This was an absolute fail. Would give it no stars if I could.

It is not free

It is not free you have to sucscribe to audible.com for 7 bucks a month. If you forget to cancel you could be paying forever and not evan no it.

Not Impressed

I've tried other Cantonese software by this group. Very poor quality, Basically a collection of things you can freely get anywhere on the Net.

During that is a repetitive description of how the lessons work -- at points it seeming to begin the lessons, but instead it's yet another repetition of the description hyping the program.

Not what I expected

How the gentleman pronounces the words and how the lady who repeats him pronounces the words aren't exactly the same, which can be confusing. It is definite more travel Zulu rather than learning the language.

Good, but could be better

Overall, I enjoyed listening to this. However, I think it would work better for a non-English speaker. I was hoping for phrases to use while traveling, and there are only a couple here. The words bus, car, coffee, tea, ect. sound the same in English as they do Scots, and repeating each four times got to be somewhat tiresome. I've also yet to need the word "onion" while traveling, but it appears here. Still, not too much cash laid out and it does include numbers and directionals, something most basic programs don't cover.

This was helpful. Just wish the longer phrases were said more slowly so as to help beginners really hear each word of the phrase.

So bad. Don't waste any time on this amature attempt. Better to watch Speaking our Languge on youtube if you wish to learn Scottish Gaelic.
