Another excellent book by Rachel Hale. She should write more SOON. I love her books. They are easy to read and very enjoyable. What a promising young author!!
    Five Stars
Fun book. Never k ow what's going to happen!
I'm so glad I read this book!
Rachel Hale's book about a successful young woman who is editor-in-chief of a glossy magazine with substance and looking for a man of substance is one of the funniest I have read in a long while!
This is not your typical romance novel where the girl is swept away by a shirtless man on a white horse. In this story, the heroine embarrasses herself over and over with her awkward conversations and terrible (and loud) singing.
The man of her dreams is the captain of a yacht owned by one of her 3 best friends, and the 4 women are together for their annual expedition; this year cruising off the coast of Maimi.
From the seasick butler to the unexpected visitors to the yacht, hilarity ensues. Will the heroine and the man of her dreams make a love connection? Will they live? Does Seattle really have the best coffee? Read the book and find out. You'll be so glad you did!

    Okay story, Great narration.
This story was okay. You really didn't know "who done it" until the very end, and I didn't guess who it was early on. So that is good. As or the romance portion I liked the characters individually well enough, but to me they didn't seem to make a great couple, it felt forced and not very genuine to me.
There was a lot of dialogue throughout and that was good. It wasn't full of filler nonsense and that was good. It just wasn't an exciting story or a page turner. The mystery portion was drug out with just small tidbits of clues until the very end.
Like I said it was an okay story but could have been better.
As for the narration, that was great. I really like Eva Kaminsky, she does a great job on the male voices and reads with emotion. She has a great reading voice too.
    Great Mystery Murder series!
    Any additional comments?
This was a great mystery. The questions always left behind when someone disappears can trigger the investigator within us all. If you saw two people fighting in a storm, heard a scream and in a flash they were gone-what would you do...just walk away,,,,I seriously doubt it! How about finding out the days preceding the disappearance leading you head first into an even bigger mystery....would you walk away....really?! I wouldn't! This was a fun ride trying to solve the disappearance, then another mystery with murder...found completely in another state! Good listen - and the mystery still isn't 100% solved....on to book 2!!
    Was a great book
Was it fate, what an amazing story. The mystery and romance between Alicia and Michael. I couldn't put this book down. Wondering what they would find next. Would they find Michaels friend dead or alive. The family rekindling. Then finally the news came, and along with it was more trouble. The fact that Alicia thought she could trust an old friend. Turned into trouble. Then again mystery. Lightning comes down from the sky to show you what you need to see! Was it fate, what an amazing story. The mystery and romance between Alicia and Michael. I couldn't put this book down. Wondering what they would find next. Would they find Michaels friend dead or alive. The family rekindling.

While this book was entertaining, I was distracted by numerous word omissions and grammatical and punctuation errors. Most notable was the repeated references to "the Hill's" when speaking about Diana and Carl. I hope the apostrophe was paid overtime because it surely worked overtime -- and all at the wrong time.

    Great inspirational read.
    Love is Never Painless
Talon Marie Jones rarely has a dull moment in any area of her life, particularly her love life! She thinks she has found true love with one man, only to discover he is nothing more than a lying cheat. She picks herself up and licks her wounds, only to find that the next man has ulterior motives as well. Once she resolves to take a break from men and get herself together, spiritually and emotionally, in walks Mr. Right!
Talon's life resonates with emotional baggage that she carries from relationship to relationship. It takes one man to let her know that it's okay to leave her luggage at the door.
This wonderful work by Adrienne Fox is very inspiring and is a definite page turner. GOD GRANT ME THE SERENITY will make readers laugh and cry.

    Page Turner!!
"God Grant Me The Serenity" is a story that any woman can relate to. The themes of friendship, relationships, betrayal, infidelity are sometimes all to familiar in stories however, the author really brings them to life in the characters she writes about. We all can relate to the internal and external struggles the main character must face. This book was definately a page turner which would have you laughing one minute and crying the next! I really enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more from this talented author in the future.

i loved this book. the characters were rich and real. they could be your next door neighbors. the love they have for each other and their neigbors is second only to the love they have for God. I read this book in one sitting.Couldnt put it down,so no housework got done that day and it was take out for dinner. lol I am looking forward to reading this book over and over.
    A sweet romance
If you are looking for sweetness and light, this romance story takes the cake. There is nothing unexpected about it and it follows to a logical conclusion. It is a very homey love story and I feel the writer has had a lot of experience in writing books.

    Review:
"Christmas at Valley Rise" by Karen Welch was a wonderful Christmas story for the Moss family. This author has continued this novel with her series: Miracle at Valley Rise which are all so well written. I really love this read of the families are coming together at the farm house at Valley rise to celebrate Christmas where you will find all ages of people. This is a holiday read of hope, healing and a couple that will find a happy ending.
Along with the Moss family and many others... we will find problems such as:
"there is the new wife of a widowed father who is not accepted by his grown-up son; a young woman who always had her future neatly mapped out in front of her suddenly begins to think there might be something else waiting for her; a single mother finds her job both challenging and rewarding at the same time, and is too proud to accept any one's help; and there is a romance between one of the Moss boys with the girl living at the caretaker's cottage."
Now when this all comes out how will this author bring it all out the readers? My favorite part was how this author was able to show how the two young lovers were able to put it all on the computer through (emails) showing each ones feeling of how they felt toward each other. I will not say anymore...just pick up "Christmas at Valley Rise" to see for yourself how well written this novel is. This was so beautifully done! The characters were so unique being well developed and indeed colorful only helping to bring us a amazing good read. This will definitely be one of those novel that will be hard to put down until the very end.
So, if you are looking for a clean sweet read that will put a smile on your face this holiday season ...

Ricky and Tammi waited in the church for a little while, both of them sure that it was just going to be the two of them. When they got out though, things looked strange. The sky became red, and the lights were gone. Did that mean that they took all of the believers up? Did God already pass judgment and they were stuck in this hellish situation forever? He wondered, but then, he heard the sound of a horse, and he looked up.
It was a giant horse, one that was probably double his size. On top of it was a black, hooded figure, and he was staring at them. He looked all over, and he smiled at them.

    Nice book
The book was interesting, but not the type of book I typically gravitate toward. I like mystery/suspense (and even cozy), and that genre tends to not have too much sex if it won't advance the plot line. So I was curious what makes a religious mystery different from a cozy mystery, and excited to win the giveaway. The author couldn't have been more gracious. The book was autographed with a personal note to me - what a sweet touch!

    Something else in life
Anna was looking for a life by herself with a man she fell in love with. Her parents had decided her life and who will be her husband. She wanted out of this so she answered a newspaper ad where a man was asking for a mail-order bride.Got a little disappointed because I was enjoying the story, it was good and have to wait for the rest. Generally I don't read parts of a book until I have all of it because I usually forget and don't follow the seconds parts but as I already read this part and think it will be a clean and interesting story I will give four stars.
    Good Read!
I definitely thought it would be longer. For the price I paid it was worth it, waiting to see what the next chapter will be about . This book has good humor and I hope the new one is out soon! i will be waiting for the new one!
    A Clever Romance Quick Read!
The Ad is an adventurous short story where Anna, destined to marry a man she didn't love through arranged marriage, decided to step outside the box looking for love.

I really enjoyed reading this romance adventure book and think you will too!

Stacy was born with all the gifts of life just handed to her, but she wanted more. She wanted to chase a dream, but what price is she willing to pay in order to have her dreams come true?
    Members Reviews:
    Choppy writing with stilted dialogue
The story starts out with a bang -- literally. Stacy and Holly (Stacy's four-year-old daughter) are involved in a car accident. Stacy is not seriously injured but Holly suffers from a head injury. This is the point where the sample ends, so I bought the book because I wanted to know whether Holly will be all right.
The accident brings out the truth in people: Rick, Holly's father and Stacy's husband, realizes how much he loves his family and feels remorseful for having spent so much time at work and so little time with them. Stacy decides she's tired of her life and wants to look up an old flame. Christie, seeing Rick's love for Holly, is stunned that a man can love so deeply and is encouraged, because she's 25 and has always been waiting for the right man, so now she knows that there are men like that out there.
I didn't like Stacy; I thought she was selfish and self-centered, but I was also bewildered at how she had been able to fool her husband and Christie about her true nature for so many years. I didn't understand Christie either -- why did she only have one friend (Stacy)? She seemed like a sweet, caring woman so I couldn't figure out how it is that she doesn't have more friends. Yes, in high school some of the girls were nasty to her, but she's been out of high school for years now. What about co-workers? Both Stacy and Christie sounded like stereotypical characters or caricatures. Rick seemed the only really normal person in all of this.
So you have to read the whole book to find out what happens to these three characters in the end, but let me say I felt the ending was somewhat unrealistic, especially the timeline. Four days after a major event like that, people don't just suddenly flip their emotions and move on. I also wanted to know the reason for it -- I mean, what happened to Stacy. It's one of those really minor details that bug you because you keep wondering, you know?
The writing is really poor. It's choppy, doesn't flow well and is full of stilted dialogue (a big problem because the story is largely dialogue-driven). Some scenes, like the disagreement between Doctor Jones and Doctor Moore, were irrelevant to the plot, and also presented a confusing and unnecessary switch in point of view. The writing suffers from awkward sentence structures and missing or wrongly used punctuation marks. Sometimes, random words are capitalized in the middle of sentences. There were very few misspellings, but that's the best I can say. (One of the most obvious misspellings was 'cubical' instead of 'cubicle'!) I felt like this was a rough draft, not a polished piece of work. Two stars because I think the story has potential, but needs to go through a rewrite to clean up pacing, character development, plot, and all the grammatical/sentence structure/punctuation issues. I would not recommend it to other readers in its present form.
    Enjoyable story.
With all the ugly news of violence in the world today, it was a pleasure to read this book. There were situations that could happen to anyone. Easy to read, it held my interest, and a lovely story!
    Four Stars
    I liked the book.
