An agent broken.

MI6 agent Damon Knight prided himself on always being in control. His missions were executed with cold, calculating precision. His club, The Garden, was run with an equally ordered and detached decadence. But his perfect world was shattered by one bullet, fired from the gun of his former partner. That betrayal almost cost him his life and ruined his career. His handlers want him to retire, threatening to revoke his license to kill if he doesn't drop his obsession with a shadowy organization called The Collective. To earn their trust, he has to prove himself on a unique assignment with an equally unusual partner.

A woman tempted.

Penelope Cash has spent her whole life wanting more. More passion. More adventure. But duty has forced her to live a quiet life. Her only excitement is watching the agents of MI6 as they save England and the world. Despite her training, she's only an analyst. The closest she is allowed to danger and intrigue is in her dreams, which are often filled with one Damon Knight. But everything changes when the woman assigned to pose as Damon's submissive on his latest mission is incapacitated. Penny is suddenly faced with a decision. Stay in her safe little world or risk her life, and her heart, for Queen and country.

An enemy revealed.

With the McKay-Taggart team at their side, Damon and Penny hunt an international terrorist across the great cities of Northern Europe. Playing the part of her Master, Damon begins to learn that under Penny's mousy exterior is a passionate submissive, one who just might lay claim to his cold heart. But when Damon's true enemy is brought out of the shadows, it might be Penny who pays the ultimate price.

so funny at times

I loved this book it was so funny at times the only thing that threw me off was the narrator tried a little too hard with the accents but otherwise it was fantastic

Love this series

Any additional comments?

All I can say is that I really love this series. It's well written and addicting!

Another Hit From Lexi Blake/Ryan West

Lexi Blake's erotic suspense stories are always great. This story excitingly roams all over northern Europe.

However, Ryan West outshines himself in this narration. Besides the myriad of characters he normally has to work with in her stories, Lexi added Finish, German, UK and Australian accents and language as well. He makes her already entertaining stories come alive.

Why The Only Bi Evil??

If Basil (villian) werent so full of rage and hate, Id feel for him. And thats the problem, Basil is not only a villain, but the only bisexual in this entire book and Ill just bet, in the entire series as well, so naturally, hes the villain. Now in part, Basil went too the dark side for money and power and all that fun stuff, but the other reason is that he was in love with his ex-partner Damon for years, and Damon, instead of being straight (pun not intended) with Basil and clearing the air of any misgivings, decided that ignoring his partners growing love for him was actually better.

Fun adventure for an enjoyable read!

This is a great novella with a little bit of everything: romance, old west and restoration. Everyone needs to know there is hope and this is a great reminder in the middle of an adventure! The last book in the series of Sheriff Bride Novellas, Sheriff Bride Christmas: The Inside Man does a great job of bringing the characters together for one more adventure. This novella is like a bite of chocolate. Though it is just enough for one sitting, it leaves you wanting one more adventure ... just one more bite.

God love

the fifth in the sheriff books was just as good as the sisters. knowing that he didn't think that he would ever get a chance to give his message to the sisters. glad so see that he was not a back slider as we can be sometimes when we forget about God and think that going back to the old life the is answer to all our wants and desires. Great book would like to read a similar series by the authors again.

Sheriff Bride Christmas The Inside Man

This book was as good as all the others before it. It just amazes me how different authors can continue on from a previous book with characters and events so in tuned that the read is so smooth. So story this is the end of this series. Great work!

Enjoyable!

The sheriff bride series was just lovely. Although each book is very short they are packed with content. Very enjoyable!

Sheriff Bride series, you'll enjoy- The inside Man

This is the last of the sheriff Bride series. This story highlights Gerard; the once bad gun of waterhole who was arrested by the Sister Sheriffs after his hand was shot and maimed. While in jail under the care of the sheriff's he turns his life over the Jesus.

Gerard falls in love with the schoolteacher and then forced into kidnapping Dan's children in ordered to be able to full-fill his dream of owning a ranch.

Amongst kidnapping the children that belong to Sam, Jo, Rob, and Dan, the bank is robbed. The sisters only finish one disaster, when they must ban together and search for the kids.

Gerard tries his best to be the inside man and keep the children safe until the Sheriff can find them.

Sheriff Bride-The Inside Man is a great story. I especially loved the ending, but readers need to read the entire, wonderful story. It's a tale of love, redemption and miracles. Even if you haven't read the other books in the Sheriff Bride series, you'll enjoy- The inside Man.

Love the characters and the book and the series

Of course being a Rose Gardner Mysteries groupie I love this book. Denise keeps you on the edge of your headphones. But the story and the characters grab your heart and wring it dry! Shannon McManus does such a great job! Love her doing the books.!I hope she continues with the books that follow on with these same characters.

this series should be turned into a movie or show!

I honestly love this series and was not ready for it to end! in so excited about the three book mini series being that I'm not ready to say good bye to the characters yet. This series should be turned into a movie or show!!!!

No longer a must have series

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

There was zero romance in this book! It went from a quirky, fun mystery romance series to a monotonous murder book. The mystery was boring, the outcomes excessively violent and the plot to keep any romance from happening was forced (Neely Kate and Ronny, Rose and Mason, Rose and Skeeter, etc.) These books used to make me happy. Now I feel depressed by the end.

What do you think your next listen will be?

Sandra Browns latest, hands down! I also put Catherine Coulter's newest Sherlock and Savage book on hold and can't wait to get back to it!

What does Shannon McManus bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?

She is amazing! The best thing about this book! Her voice is so pleasant and she has perfect variation for each character without making any characters annoying. Love her!

You didnt love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

For sure...the closure on the JR Simmons issue finally happened.

Last but not least

This was a great final wrap up of Rose's story and a great lead in to her next chapter of life. I will say I find the long pauses between chapters to be very annoying.

A book to die for.

Another stunning Donovan book. Characters are well developed, excitement developes to a stunning finally. One of her best.

Ok but not A+

Took a bit to follow that this is a story attached to previous books. It was very slow in some parts. So slow that I easily fell asleep on that section. The end about the grandfather was predicable so glad there were a few other twists in the plot. I'll try to listen to it again to see if I stay awake for the middle of the book and to find out if anything exciting happened there.

Now it's up to Dominique to trust the one man who's linked to the agony of her past. Can she find a way to love the enemy she always loathed?

Members Reviews:

Awesome Addition to Audible Series.

This is a great addition to the Red Stone Security Series. It is almost a two for one story. There is the story about the main characters, Dominique Castle and Viktor Ivanov but also as sub-story the developing relationship between Viktor's brother, Abram and his assistant Lucy. This book follows almost the same timeline as Secret Obsession. I listened to this book in the car on a long trip and it seemed to make the miles fly by. There are some hot scenes and great chemistry between the characters, so if you're not listening by yourself us headphones. As usual, Sophie Eastlake did a great job with the narration -- seeming to make the characters come to life. Overall the suspense was there, the plot flowed and the narrator made the story come to life.

Finding Love

Viktor Ivanov hated his brutal gangster father and is glad to be free of his tyranny. He and his half brother are now successful businessman. They are a formidable pair. Just ask those who have had dealings with them. When Viktor meets Dominique Castle, he doesn't understand why she hates him. When he learns her reasons, he tries to make things right. He's attracted to her beauty and innocence. Can he change her mind about him? Viktor and Abram are two powerful men who are use to getting what they want. Their swagger is addictive, but they are wary of establishing a permanent relationship with a woman. Their attitudes change when they each meet a woman who is up to the challenge. I couldn't put down Love Thy Enemy. It was filled with great characters, two passionate romances and deadly treachery and betrayal. No one writes romantic suspense like Katie Reus. When you add the narration of Sophie Eastlake, you have an unbeatable combination. This audiobook adds so much to this Red Stone Security book.

I received a copy in exchange for an honest and unscripted

Another good read and narration..

I love Katie Reuss Red Stone Security series. This is number 13 and Ive listened to all of them, except the ones narrated by Pyper Down, I just read those. I listened to the ones narrated by Sophie Eastlake, and they were all super! This one was about Dominque and Viktor. Dominque who hated Viktor because she thought he was just like his father, a gangster.

great ready

loved it. I recommended this series to everyone. If you are a romance/crime fan but like less graffics in the bedroom then this book is for you

If I could give the narrators more than 5 stars, I would

Oh wow! This series just gets better and better, I have no words. I am completely and utterly in love with Chase Winter. I love this series, I especially love the multiple POVs, in some stories they can be confusing and frustrating, but Rachel Van Dyken has nailed them, Chase, Mil, Nixon and Tex, all spot on. Following Phoenix's death Mil becomes head of the DeLuca family and for her own protection she marries Chase, her first and only love. Chase is still getting over losing Trace and struggling to understand the feelings he has for Mil, add into the mix the many 'family' complications and the gang are facing their biggest threat yet, the Sicilians. I love the writing, the story and I am fully invested with this young group of mob bosses, I love that all the stories flow together, yet are still standalone. Onward and upward, book 4 here I come.
