Title: [Spanish] - Poemas de Edgar Allan Poe

Author: ángel Ferrer

Narrator: ángel Ferrer

Format: Abridged Audiobook

Length: 0 hours 43 minutes

Release date: August 16, 2021

Genres: Poetry

Publisher's Summary:

Title: Poems - 1905-1911

Author: Margaret Lavington, George Woodberry, Rupert Brooke

Narrator: Denis Daly

Format: Unabridged Audiobook

Length: 2 hours 5 minutes

Release date: August 7, 2021

Genres: Poetry

Publisher's Summary:

Poems - 1905-1911 By Rupert Brooke Narrated by Denis Daly Not all the young poets whose lives were cut short during the First World War were actual casualties of the conflict. James Elroy Flecker and Rupert Brooke both died in 1915, each leaving a body of finished work which places him in the ranks of the major poets of the Twentieth Century. Brooke seems to have had a premonition of his untimely demise for a considerable period. The subject of death is very prominent in his verse, which, even in its most playful moments, is characterized by a profoundly elegaic quality. Brooke's untimely passing inspired tributes from many literary celebrities, among whom was Winston Churchill: 'During the last few months of his life, the poet-soldier told with all the simple force of genius, the sorrow of youth about to die, and the sure, triumphant consolations of a sincere and valiant spirit. 'The thoughts to which he gave expression in the very few incomparable war sonnets which he has left behind will be shared by many thousands of young men moving resolutely and blithely forward into this, the hardest, the cruellest, and the least-rewarded of all the wars that men have fought. They are a whole history and revelation of Rupert Brooke himself. Joyous, fearless, versatile, deeply instructed, with classic symmetry of mind and body, ruled by high, undoubting purpose, he was all that one would wish England's noblest sons to be in days when no sacrifice but the most precious is acceptable, and the most precious is that which is most freely proffered.' Title: War Between Good and Evil

Author: Ira Davis

Narrator: Rodney Tomkins

Format: Unabridged Audiobook

Length: 1 hour 25 minutes

Release date: July 29, 2021

Genres: Poetry

Publisher's Summary:

War Between Good and Evil: A collection of Poems, Vol. I., is a completed 12,342-word poetry book that mostly describes life in America through the lens of a Black man. The poems describe the challenges of growing up in poverty with an absent father and a mother who will move mountains to hold her family together. The speaker describes his struggles and the challenges of making ends meet and how he eventually overcomes those struggles and achieves his aspirations. The poems are of conflict and triumph. Poems like “Our Mama – Ruth Catherine Lee-Davis” pay tribute to a loving mother who spends her life putting her family first. Of his mother’s tenacity, the speaker writes, “It’s time for you now to take a Ride, / For your price lies on the other Side” (Davis. 2-3). In “Brandon’s Poem,” the speaker remembers a dear friend lost along the way. “To My Young Brothers” warns a younger generation of men and women of mistakes and choices that can make or break an individual. “Being Black In America” is a rhythmic plea for a more inclusive America that is yet to embrace all her children, with lines like “Police don’t have to have a reason / Because killing our Blacks is always in season” (Davis. 12-13). And although War Between Good and Evil is a one-man’s journey through life, readers will find the book relatable.

Title: [Arabic] - الأعمال الشعرية

Author: وديع سعادة

Narrator: عفاف عبدالمحسن

Format: Unabridged Audiobook

Length: 3 hours 19 minutes

Release date: May 21, 2021

Genres: Poetry

Publisher's Summary:
