How about some charts? (This is the 21st century...)
This book contains actually a lot of excellent information but the presentation misses the mark of what can be done 'easily' these days.
The book contains great info I haven't read anywhere else:
"... Peppers and tomatoes do the best on the west side if possible, because they like to have a lot of heat and sun. Greens and salad plants are going to do better on the north or the east side because they will start to shrivel up and die if you leave them in the intense heat too long..."
That's extremely valuable advice.
Author Nancy Ross also explains planting schedules, which plants/veggies should be planted with which others, so all of them have space etc...
So, how about a chart? Or - two?
How many plants can be planted in what types on containers, how many gallons of soil etc.
I don't need pictures of container gardens but charts would be great because they help to accomplish the task faster.
The reason why I am interested in setting up a container garden is that I live in a house in a wooded lot, there is no single corner that gets sun all the time throughout summer. So, I thought, if I put the veggies in containers I can move them after 3 or 4 weeks or whenever the sun shines more at a different spot. This issue or problem is actually addressed in section: Move the pots around: (Kindle Location 453).
Quite awesome is chapter 6: How to Keep the Bugs Out. Author Nancy Ross lists a good dozen ways how to fight bugs and pests with natural methods instead of the chemistry lab, that's excellent advice all hobby gardeners need.
Hopefully, a second edition will get some visuals,
otherwise a great book,

I want to try container gardening because I have to ...
I want to try container gardening because I have to carry the water to any garden I plant since my pump quit and I don't have the money to get it fixed.
Fantastic book for beginning gardeners.
This book has taught me alot. I never dreamed it would be this easy my plants are flourishing.
Quick, perhaps too quick
Not much details but a quick overview. You won't learn much but still a decent read.
Three Stars
Not ready to try the book.
