October 26, 2020 LIT: Living through It (For All Podcast Platforms)
This message is to bring light to the deception of suicide. Knowing someone whose death was ruled as a suicide, I was prompted to share this special message. It's also for those who may have found themselves in the dark space of suicidal attempts, thoughts (ideation) or have known someone who struggled with giving up on life. There are many lies that so many have been victimized by that attempt to steal, kill and destroy their very lives through suicide. In this episode, I share the story of my feelings after experiencing the loss of someone due to suicide along with the poem, "LIT" I was inspired to write from that experience. I pray listeners will be ignited to "Live Through It," whatever the "it" is that may have them feeling hopeless or empty in the darkness. There is hope. You are not alone. YOU CAN, YOU WILL... Jesus declares in John 8:12 (KJV), "I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life." When in the presence of God, a clearer path is illuminated. Also, a better judgment comes to light which we may not have considered. Jesus becomes our light and hope. When we shift our focus from circumstance to Christ, His light illuminates His goodness. What's so amazing is that He is not just the light of one location, but HE IS THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD!
