Finally! It took longer than we thought, but here is our part one discussion of Brent Weeks new book The Burning White.
We discuss Teia's character development as she progresses in this book as the silent murder machine, Murder Sharp's real history, the true parentage of Kip, the hidden nuggets Brent Weeks has hidden throughout, and the overall emotional roller-coaster this book puts us through. Plus we discuss the big "who" actually was the Lightbringer. Plus, how the hell does prophecy even work in this world.

This week we discuss Robert Jordan's first book ever Warrior of The Altaii while we finish up reading Brent Week's excellent book The Burning White!
Trust us, we needed some extra time to really do that one right. Don't worry though, It's coming soon folks!
For now, we recorded this single discussion in honor of Robert Jordan's birthday a while ago. We know we are releasing it late but enjoy anyway.
We talk through several seeds and concepts in this book that later evolved into Robert Jordan's masterpiece The Wheel of Time, the cultures and foresight within, and our thoughts on the story and style overall.
We definitely see ideas that later hit maturity in The Wheel of Time books that followed. Cheers!

This episode we finish our discussion on the Blood Mirror, book 4 of the Lightbringer Series by Brent Weeks and prep for our next read of the Burning White.
We discuss Kip's progress as a full spectrum polychrome, and if the cards he has absorbed have influenced his ability to lead. We talk about Liv's choices since her father Corvan Danavis helped free her from the Color Prince's influence. We wonder how white luxin works, and how rare black luxin is. We ponder many of the mysteries Brent Weeks is laying out and make some major guesses to the outcome of the next book. We cannot wait to finish up the Burning White next!

This episode we start our heavy discussion on the Blood Mirror, book 4 of the Lightbringer Series by Brent Weeks.
We discuss our thoughts on Ironfist and the possibility of him ending up a friend or foe, Cruxer's dream, the Mighty's growth, Kip Guile becoming a general, Kip's newfound ability's and his battle against the Paryl and Chi storm. We wonder what rules the immortals are playing by as they help or hurt our characters, and who the heck the deadmen are in the colored cells. Is this really just will casting? Its clear Andross Guile knows even more than we could have ever imagined. We talk about all that and more!

We touch on Gavin's relationship with Karris and Marissia, General Corvan Danavis' relationship with the Third Eye, The White's fate, Kip and the cards (including the "Turtle Bear"), the great library, Karris White Oak's ascension, and Tremblefist's historic actions. We ask what could be up with black luxon, why hide stuff in heavy bags, should kip have gone for the gun or cloak, are there really 11 colors, and what the hell about Quentin? We finish with Kip and the Mighty escaping from the Chromeria. And let's not forget about the kiss. Tisis and Andrastea… dear goodness.
This has been fun and finally, we get to release the Blood Mirror episodes next while we read The Burning White! This is going to be fun!

This episode we take a break from the Witcher and visit "The Broken Eye" by Brent Weeks. We discuss lots this time so here it goes!
We touch on Gavin the rowing slave for Gunner, Kip Guile's body image issues, but also Kip's major growing confidence and abilities, the realism of Brent weeks character development, Zymun Guile and the pain in the ass that he is and what we think Karris White Oak's / Karris Guile's reaction to her child will be. We also hit Kip the Lip's skill and luck with survival, we ask what powers beyond could be guiding Kip's escape and survival so far, and we wonder if this indicates he is the Lightbringer. We also discuss if Lucidonius is truly Diakoptes and what side the Order of The Broken Eye is on.
Bonus is Murder Sharp's true creepiness and obsession with teeth, Teia's training in the Order of the Broken Eye, we also spend some time talking about the new and improved Andross Guile and his motives for Kip, the Mighty, and more. We struggle to interpret the many different actions Andross takes and his weird friendship with Grimwitty.
We also take a Brett bet on if there will ever be a black or white god or bane that forms (don't answer if you know because we are working up to the final book!
Please enjoy!
