Jim and Todd talk about the Timberwolves win in Houston. It was a signature win for this early in the season. Ball has stepped up in Edwards absence. Jonathan Kuminga had perhaps his best game. What is going on with Drake Lindsey and the Gophers offense. No definitive word on Kyler Murray's hamstring yet, it will be later this week with the Vikings not playing until Monday. Both guys are looking forward to seeing how the Vikings D handles the Bills Josh Allen.

Jim and Todd talk about the Wild being tied for the lead in the Western Conference despite injuries and Quinn Hughes contract situation. He says HC Jon Hynes has done a great job keeping them together. The make a QO to Ryan Jeffers of the league set 1 year $23M. That's more that he will get on an AAV in another deal, but he wants more years. If he signs elsewhere the Twins would get a compensatory draft pick. Does Royce Lewis have a place in the Twins lineup next season? Is Kyler Murray's injury status something more?

The Bears looked good on MNF vs the Seahawks. Is Caleb Williams a new Monster of the Midway. Are the Vikings GM, Head Coach and QB all in the same place career timeline-wise, not really, and that may cost the team. LaMelo Ball took over for the Timberwolves and avoiding fouling and turnovers, his two main drawbacks. Who's the leader of this team with Edwards out?

Jim and Todd talk about the Vikings first loss of the season to the Lions. More QB issues with Kyler Murray struggling and not getting the ball to Justin Jefferson. Jim believes it's possible the Vikings go back to Carson Wentz, but be careful if that's what you are wishing would happen. They should trade for Jonathan Taylor, the Colts RB. It likely will cost them a first round draft pick, but that could be worth it. 

Vikings will get their stiffest test so far this season when they play in Detroit on Sunday. Jim doesn't believe there is anyway that Wentz replaces Murray except through injury this season. Due to the Bears, Seahawks and 49ers all adding big-time players via trade, Jim has changed his position and thinks the Vikings should pursue Jonathan Taylor. The Timberwolves play without Ant needs to be better than it was vs Golden State.

Jim and Todd talk about the World Series. The Brewers are a terriffic team and proved it by dominating the post-season. The pitching match-up for the deciding game wasn't very even, The Miz vs the Bullpen. The Twins immediatre future starts with what they do with Ryan Jeffers. The Timberwolves looked overwhelmed in their first game without their star guard Anthony Edwards. Is Rudy Gobert done being a useful offensive player?

Jim and Todd talk about the Timberwolves losing Anthony Edwards to injury, it isn't time to panic. Who steps into the starting lineup and rotation. How will this affect LaMelo Ball. Will the Vikings trade for Jonathan Taylor? Do they need that expensive of an upgrade at RB? Would adding more defenders, like Antoine Winfield Jr, make sense? Kirrill Kaprizov is playing like he wants to lead the lead in goals, does that make the Wild more likely to trade for Larkin from Detroit.

Jim and Todd talk over the Vikings low scoring win over the Colts. Murray seemed to regress in his play. KOC seemed to regress in his play calling. JJ McCarthy wins on the road for the Giants and throws for over 250 yards in his 26th day with the team. Jim has a theory about why it didn't work with the Vikings. The Timberwolves fall in OT to the Cavs on the road, tough turnaround after their home opener the night before.

Jim updates the Vikings injury report. Except for a pair of season ending injuries to Jackson and Oliver, the Vikings are healthy for their match-up with the Colts on Sunday. Jim predicts a double-digit win for Minnesota. JJ McCarthy is starting this week for the Giants, what does Jim think he'll be able to do with this second chance. If he des well, the Vikings look bad....again. Caleb Williams is frightening with his talent and it was on display in TNF. AJ Brown was already overrated when the Patriots traded for him, he's proving that now.
