Timberwolves loss in Denver was easy to see coming. Jaden McDaniels doesn't care about being the villain, but his words and actions have painted a target on his back. It's much more difficult to win without your starting backcourt and star player when the Nuggets can prepare. Two evenly matched teams in Wild vs Stars, wouldn't be surprised by another overtime game. Derek Falvey didn't leave the cupboard bare in the pitching department.

It's a shame the Timberwolves lost their starting back court to injury, but how about Ayo! How does Jim feel about Jaden McDaniels scoring at the end of the game? Mike Conley summed it up perfectly. It wasn't luck that Matt Boldy's deflection was perfectly angled, it's skill and a lot of work. The Wild came through in a big game, can they keep it up. Jim is a little higher on the Vikings draft than many, grading them a "B."

The Wolves just flat look like the better team, and with Aaron Gordon out for the Nuggets, the talent disparity appears wide. Jim was surprised by the Vikings draft pick, not by the fact that everyone guessed wrong who they would take. Where has Kaprizov been the last two Wild losses? Jim is starting to become concerned about Twins "ace" Joe Ryan.

Jim previews tonight's NFL Draft. The Vikings seem locked in on an Oregon safety in the first round. Where will 'Bama QB Ty Simpson go. The Wild have been playing some undisciplined hockey, that hurt them in last night's 2OT loss. Will the Nuggets make Jaden McDaniels eat his words, or does his talking not really matter? Two young lefthanders looked great for the Twins last night.

Jim and Todd talk about the Twins win over the Mets, who are terrible despite a $350M payroll. The Spurs Wemby crashed hard to the floor and was concussed. If he misses significant time in concussion protocol, the West opens up a bit for the Timberwolves. NFL teams draft boards have been set for weeks, despite what "mock drafters" would have you believe.

Jim and Todd recap the Timberwolves win in Denver. Jim names his X-Factor player. Minnesota sports fans are being treated to the two best playoff series in their respective sports with the Wild vs Dallas and Wolves vs Nuggets. The Twins bullpen is struggling right now, that was foreseeable.

Jim points to the Wolves starting forwards as the main reason they lost on Saturday. Julius Randle has an up and down playoff past, even with the Wolves. Jim not surprised the Wild won, but was at the domination. He was also surprised they went to Wallstedt in the nets. Who's really running the Vikings draft this Thursday night.

Napheesa Collier signs a $1.4M dollar one year extension with the Lynx. That it's just one year is concerning. Do the Wolves need to win one of the first two games in Denver? Jim makes his prediction on the series. Judge vs Trout in New York was great theatre, that not many people care about this time of year unfortunately.
