The conversation on building confidence is greatly expansive by nature, meaning that they are no hard rules to these ideas yet, they can be distinguished by their capacity for sustainability. A person who build their confidence based on the validation of others is more likely to be knocked out of balance by someone who dares to challenge them, as compared to one who stands on solid principles such as, knowing oneself well enough, respecting yourself as well as others, being gentle and kind to yourself, recognizing your strengths and weaknesses, & being loving & accepting of yourself despite these realities, and the list goes on. By building our confidence from a place of inner alignment, we can easily withstand the forces of external interference that naturally comes with being human. In this episode, Retta Rich shared her thoughts and her experiences on how she currently views the subject of self confidence, and gives practical instances by which she’s able to sustain and to maintain balance in her life.
