God was at work in Rome, and the faith of the Christ-followers there was so obvious that people spoke about it in other parts of the world! Bre Bondurant 8/11/22 As a loving Father, God’s speaks to His children… sometimes, he provides correction, steering us from pitfalls we may have otherwise fallen into. At other times, he reassures or encourages us. But always, his voice will line up with His written word. His voice may feel like a nudge, or a prompting in a certain direction. It may be a set of words that stand out during a Bible reading, or a thought that sticks in our mind during a time of prayer. Again, always it will be consistent with His proven character. God is faithful, His love never changes and His ways are consistent.

Bre Bondurant 7/28/22 From the book of Genesis to the Book of Revelation, the bible tells the story of God and His Creation. It speaks of God’s consistent character, the most evident aspect of which is His unfailing Love. In today’s devotional reading Bre is going to lead us through a portion of Revelation chapter 21. This chapter of the final book of the Bible speaks of God bringing completion or wholeness to all of creation. God’s unfailing love leads to this state of “shalom” that in His goodness He has made available to all of humanity—God is the perfect embodiment of Real Love… Love that is long enough to exist eternally, wide enough to encompass all of creation, and deep enough to provide space for every one of us.

John Hefflick, Officer Mario Reid and Officer Joshua Brewer 7/25/22 Officers Mario Reid and Josh Brewer are the mental health and homelessness liaisons for the Evansville Police Department. In this episode, John Hefflick interviews officers Reid and Brewer, as they bring a unique "boots on the ground" perspective to very practically loving the homeless and the mentally ill populations within our community.

Bre Bondurant 7/21/22 We live in a world where nearly every piece of content we consume is manufactured to exacting standards and expertly portrays the point of view of the content creator while re-enforcing their specific agenda. So the challenge for us becomes: how can we know what is REAL? And, how can we live a life as a follower of Christ that authentically displays HIS love in a way that others will know the we are being real as we live and love like Him? Our current sermon series at Crossroads is called “Real Love” and explores what God’s love looks like as well as how we can live it out in the places where we live, work and play. In this episode, Bre leads us through scriptures that reflect God’s love for us.

Bre Bondurant 7/6/22 God understands that we have troubles, and He provides peace to us still today. This week, Bre leads us through a passage from John 14. In this passage, Jesus reassures his disciples that even though he will no longer physically be with them, they won't be alone--the Holy Spirit would be with them, and would bring them peace.
