What could be the most listened to Live at Five Show took place today, when Glenn interviewed City Councilman, Cliff Olney. Cliff is in the middle of a lot of city issues, including an inquiry by the ethics committee to remove Mr. Olney from council. Cliff gave his side of many stories today!
Legislator and businessman, Bobby Big Apple Bobby stopped by today to talk about the flower boxes, Court St and other city and county issues. Steady calls throughout today's show!
Whoa, it was the show of shows today! Mayor Jeff Smith stopped by just an hour after a special meeting at City Hall concluded. He had an 'earth-shaking' document that states 1.7 million went to a local businessman from the sale of Thompson Park golf course. Mayor Smith explained how a document was accidentally sent to city hall revealing a amount that was double what it was originally reported.
We had 'Carolina Chuck' in the studio today to talk about his celebrity status as a FX Caprara spokesperson. Chuck talked about how the Caprara family treats their customers, plus Chuck spoke very highly about the North Country too!
Hump day summary of today's show. A convict from Louisiana was captured today in Watertown, Councilman Cliff Olney says Mayor Smith is getting old looking, Attorney Joe Stanley addressed Glenn's characterization of dumb politicians, and Glenn says Trump can't win due to the 'stacked deck' effect in Washington.
Traffic issues, post 9.11 analysis and oh yes, Aaron Rodgers! That's what was on tap today on the show. Good steady calls throughout, plus Glenn is interested in knowing more about the golf course documents that were never shown to city council.
Glenn talked about how lame network coverage is when it comes to the 22 anniversary to 9.11. Glenn says the nation's new enemy are MAGA supporters. Mayor Jeff Smith is upset with Councilman Olney over his social media post claiming the city attorney has been fired. Glenn also talked to his neighbor Frank about the plight of Ash Trees.
Good stuff today as the show focused on local and national issues. First, how can NNY afford new electric buses? This is the issue in the Indian River district. Then, it turned to the migrant crisis in NYC. Glenn likes Mayor Adams, but believes he thinks migrants are more comfortable in states like Texas because it looks like their home. Then, Glenn explained why Jimmy Fallon became a douche bag to his own staff!
Whew! It's one of those shows today! One call after another and it was all about local stuff too. The downtown flower boxes and the new reverse parking on Court St. took center stage as Glenn criticized Lefty and another caller for being annoying today.
Glenn had Dr. Michael Schwartz on again to discuss the NEW mask mandates that have been popping up. Glenn asked if this is to secure the elections again for 2024. Michael had plenty to say from his book, Fauci's Fiction and encourages people to open their eyes instead of taking sides. Good follow-up calls after today's 30 minute conversation.
