  • Live Bold & Boss Up: The Force Behind The Ryan Callahan Foundation With Kyla Callahan

Steph & Ash sit down with Kyla Callahan, Co-Founder and Executive Director of the Ryan Callahan Foundation. She is amazing and started a non-profit from the ground up based on a passion.

The Ryan Callahan Foundation brings unforgettable experiences and moments of family unity to pediatric cancer patients and their families.  A nonprofit which bears her husband’s name, Ryan Callahan former NHL player who was in the league for 17 years.  Their non-profit was officially established in 2016 but began working within the community on its mission two years earlier.

After having two children of their own, Kyla and Ryan couldn’t imagine the hardships a family experiences while battling cancer. Since that time their family and foundation have evolved.

Kyla and Ryan have three children Charlotte, 10, Evelyn,7, and Dominick, 4.  While being a full-time mom, Kyla runs the Tampa-based foundation now from their home base in Rochester, NY, which has recently expanded to New York State serving families being treated at Golisano Children’s Hospital.  The foundation’s programs are inclusive of financial assistance, family vacations, a health and wellness program, days of pampering for the entire family, and outings to professional sporting events but their hard work within the community doesn’t end with their “24 Club, Cally’s Crew, Cally’s Comforts, and their newly curated RISE program”.

Although Kyla and her family have relocated to Rochester, NY she continues to fully operate the Ryan Callahan Foundation while developing further programming in Tampa, FL.
