Gary Mills played 137 times for our great club #nottinghamforest during 2 spells are the club, and is certainly an all time legend of the City Ground after helping #nffc claim an unprecedented back to back European Cup wins in 1979 and 1980.
At the young age of 11 Gary Mills talent was obvious and the Forest scouts were quick to sign him up, he then went onto force his way into the reserve team when he was only 14!
Then on September 9th 1978 he made his first team debut in a victory over Arsenal and in doing so become Nottingham Forest youngest ever league player.
Gary was a naturally gift footballer who was comfortable in a number of positions on the field, but spent most of his career playing as a right back or in midfield.
With spells playing for Forest rivals Leicester City and Notts County, Gary amassed an impressive 727 appearances as a professional footballer before retiring at Tamworth in 2010.
