This class discusses areas in the gospels where what Jesus said or did offended the people around Him, and how there was a real life-changing purpose to what He said and did. The Pharisees often got offended by Jesus as He held them to a high standard in their position as spiritual leaders at the chance that they would correct their course. What is your response when Jesus offends your culture? Are you able to course correct to align with His will, or do you try to invalidate what He is saying?

This class is all about what it means to really give our lives over to Jesus and go against the natural selfishness that we are used to operating in. Though it is hard to do initially, choosing obedience and selflessness allows us to go into a deeper relationship with God than we could otherwise have.

This class discusses how jealousy can be a good thing when it relates to the way God feels for us or the way we must protect our relationship with God. But jealousy can also reveal where we don't trust God to provide for us. When we celebrate the giftings God has given to others, we are able to counteract jealousy in our lives. The goal is to trust that God will give us what we need!

We put up these safeguards to protect ourselves from more rejection, while being stuck in a cycle of believing lies about ourselves and what we deserve. This class brings up the importance of intimacy and being vulnerable in order to grow and become closer to God. In order to have intimacy with God, we need to pursue healing for the hurts that we have experienced. God deeply wants to be with us, but the hurts we've experienced cause us to build self protection around ourselves, making it difficult to be known and to get close to others. Will you take a step in the direction of healing your hurts in order to grow closer to God?
