🔸 Great convo, I think we were both in an excellent space.

🔹 Part (Location, Fear, Rather be doing, Age, Needs):
Dull ache in lower back... maybe to do with imposter syndrom, fear of letting people down, especially when they back him. Feels nervous. It would rather be at peace and working in the academic and corporate side of his life, not protecting from the perceived attacks that come with being 'just an athlete' / 'dumb jock' It thinks he is 29 - when he had a lot of major decisions to juggle. It needs him to be decisive, be confident in showing his intellect and saying yes to those opportunities.

🔸 A suicide attempt left him with a traumatic brain injury. He has names for many parts, including the part of himself that tried to kill him, and which he says he killed... He references his diagnosis of bipolar and OCD, and is well versed in CBT.

🔹 Part (Location, Fear, Rather be doing, Age, Needs):
The "afraid i might try to kill myself again" part. (He has a lot of judgment about that, that it shouldnt exist, even though he knows it is looking out for his safety) It would rather be creative... and wishes he would go easier on himself when he DID do some OCD stuff like touching his neck.

🔸 Andrew brought a lot of curiosity and came alive in this call, but we didn't get past the frame of wanting to explain and "overcome".

Sweaty hands and feet, tight shoulders Afraid of feeling too good. has to suffer It just wants to retire, and it wasnt to be remembered.

🎓 What I'd like to do differently:
Getting comfortable / confident in naming what I'm seeing. It's extra difficult for me with first-timers.

The trouble knowing where to go part, the "believe in me" part vs the "doubting" part. we worked with both Age: 7

🎓 What I'd like to do differently:
Chloe was analyzing parts' responses, and the responses were quick, like she was in a hurry or distracted. I wanted to say something but didn't feel like I had that connection/contract with her. I'd like to establish more connection upfront and get clear about people's time-lines.

🔸 We meet an exile, and it's very sweet.

The pain and sadness of feeling not pretty enough, always jealous. She wants to supress it But theres a small part, behind her, tugging at her. A child It has a lot to show her - her father let drug users into her bedroom. She hugs the exile, it enters her heart, a pillow fight, they go to jupiter.

This part feels hopeless. Pointless. Stuck. Sad. Empty In the chest. There are protectors saying this isnt worth it. Age ~10. The rabbit. She protects the infant. Needed someone to talk to dad, and wake up mom. Shes safe at the lake house now.

🔸 So glad to hear from Mike again, I suspected from the first call that we could do great work together.

Feeling directionless. causes pain in his chest. still feeling of pointlessness. its afraid of the monster of fear and anger and retaliation. but. that part is afraid of another part. afraid of another monster, a self destructive one, anti social.

🔸 A fun call - How we get there is a little tricky; we spend some time discussing a recent tough event before identifying the target part.

🔹 Part (Location, Fear, Rather be doing, Age, Needs):
The ""must speak up"" part in the throat, balancing the heart and head. It's afraid she will ignore it, and not express herself. It would rather be dancing! And expressing through music! It needs her to focus on her ""work"" from the universe, which comes through music and other expression, and take it one step at a time.
