Due to concerns surrounding COVID-19, Max I. Walker has made the difficult decision to postpone the 2021 event.

Mentoring, at its core, guarantees young people that there is someone who cares about them, assures them they are not alone in dealing with day-to-day challenges, and makes them feel like they matter. Research confirms that quality mentoring relationships have powerful positive effects on young people in a variety of personal, academic, and professional situations.

Inclusive Communities is a 501 (c)3 non-profit organization. Through their powerful human relations work, they are providing education and advocacy related to the topics of diversity and inclusion.

The Longest Day is one of the Alzheimer's Associations signature fundraising events. Sherri Obermiller, member of The Longest Day planning committee for the Alzheimer’s Association-Nebraska Chapter, sat down with Mike Hogan “Live & Local” to discuss how Nebraskans can register to raise funds by doing the things they love, changes in the fundraising landscape in 2020 due to COVID and social distancing measures, and why she became involved with the Alzheimer's Association.

As a part of his four year theme/mission, Dr. Derrick Fox, Director of Choral Activities at the University of Nebraska-Omaha put in place at UNO an initiative entitled” Reflections of Us.” With this, he works to connect the UNO student community and the Omaha community. This iteration of the mission is subtitled “United in Song.”
