  • Live Lockdown Podcast - 1st August 2020
Back with another instalment of my Lockdown Mixes, this time flying solo without my gorgeous assistant as, and I quote, she is "pussay seek o' daeing these." :)
These have been going for over 4 months now, initially weekly during the dark times of lockdown but now moving to fortnight as the pandemic eases.
A right mixed bag this week, and, if I do say so myself, one of my favourite ones so far, crammed full of some of my favourite tracks.
I hare sticking to one style of music so this hops from genre to genre, everything from 90's trance, hip house, 80's pop, old skool, vocal house, nu-disco, hi-nrg and Italo house.
Even threw in some Northern Soul this week.
It's as much a surprise to me listening back to what I played as it maybe is to you, the gin had well and truly kicked in by the last hour and I was in full Cyril Sneer mode.
Thanks again to everyone who tuned in, has almost 800 listeners again this week at one point. Love you all. x

  • Live Lockdown Podcast - 15th August 2020
A weekly stream (now fortnightly) to ease the pain of Lockdown, creating a community for those who miss going out to the clubs or just enjoy the music.
Musical policy is old skool, dance anthems, vocal classics, 80's remixes and everything else in-between.
    Now exclusively streaming on Mixcloud.
This week I'm joined by my good friend Keith Gibson, the man who started a FB campaign to get me to do these streams.
I gave him an hour's lesson beforehand and then another live on air and threw him him under the bus and onto the decks.
The thing about these streams is it's not a club, so don't expect the usual flawless mixing, it's about the banter and copious amounts of gin, so don't expect a seamless journey lol.
Also, I made the mistake of showing him how to work the flanger, and like anyone who's ever touched it, Keith got carried away, probably for the last 2 hours.
Also, we overran by 2 hours and never even noticed ;)
    Caution: Contains some strong language.

  • Live Lockdown Podcast - 29th August 2020 with guest DJ Hannah Laing
A weekly stream (now fortnightly) to ease the pain of Lockdown, creating a community for those who miss going out to the clubs or just enjoy the music.
Musical policy is old skool, dance anthems, vocal classics, 80's remixes and everything else in-between.
    Now exclusively streaming on Mixcloud.
This week I'm joined by local DJ and producer Hannah Laing who has been carving a name for herself for a while now. She is also someone I've DJ'd with regularly over the last few years.
We had planned to have a short interview during the show but the combination of us both having hangovers and Hannah pretending she's shy put paid to that and we just got into the music.
So much so that we overran by a couple of hours.
The demon drink had took over by then and you can hear this in my voice as the show progresses, until I'm barely coherent by the end, but we had a lot of fun doing this and that's all that matters.
    Enjoy.
    Caution: Contains some strong language.

  • Live Lockdown Podcast - 26th September 2020
After a three week hiatus, I'm back with a live stream, exclusively broadcast on @Mixcloud
Did have a guest DJ lined up but The Rona pished on those chips so you're stuck with me and my glamorous assistant/barmaid Claire.
Expect the usual mix of old skool, retro house, vocals, upfront and tech house and some 80's remixes.
Even threw a bit of The Jam in this week to mix it up.
    Enjoy.

  • Live Lockdown Podcast - 10th October 2020
Another instalment of my fortnightly live streams, featuring upfront house, a smattering of old skool, a touch of trance, some vocal house and the odd 80's remix, in fact a few 80's remixes, all interspersed with some drunken chat and ill informed comments (all in jest, please don't take offence).
All recorded live while accompanied by my glamorous assistant Claire fuelled by copious amounts of gin.
As always, appreciate your support both on the live streams and by playing and reposting these recordings.
Happy to have had over a thousand views during the stream, hope you all enjoyed.
    See you in two weeks.
    Bilbo.

  • Streetrave Streetparty
My set recorded live at the Streetrave Streetparty at SWG3 in Glasgow.
Had to cut it early as Angie Brown was ready for her PA.
Apologies to the Gers supporter who stormed off in the huff when I played "Just Can't Get Enough" (because of it's connection with Celtic).

  • Rhumba Promo Party Mini-mix
A Promo Mix for the Rhumba Club Festival of House in Fat Sams on 12th October, first aired on Nikki Flame Jordan's Hotwired Show on Heartland FM.
I'm playing in the Party Room so this is a mix of old and new tunes to celebrate 22 years of the legendary Rhumba Club. I tried to pick a tune from the sets of some of the heroes who have played the club over the years, for example 'Garden of Peace' played by Digweed and 'Float Away' played by the ultimate Rhumba legend, Dave Seaman.
Something a little different from the tracks I would normally play at Electrode. https://www.facebook.com/ElectrodeMuzik
Mixed live, including the acapellas, no sync buttons were harmed during this mix :)
