This Sunday we looked at the powerful story of Saul's conversion in Acts.
Saul was fiercely opposed to the church, convinced he was serving God while actually fighting against Him. But on the road to Damascus, Jesus intervened in sovereign grace.
Saul wasn't searching for Jesus, Jesus was searching for Saul.
When Jesus asked, "Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?" we see the deep connection between Christ and His church.
Through the faithful obedience of Ananias, who courageously welcomed him as "Brother Saul", Saul experienced forgiveness, healing, and new life. His blindness turning to sight became a picture of moving from spiritual darkness to light.
This story reminds us that no one is beyond the reach of God's grace. If He can save the chief of sinners, He can save anyone.
