Welcome to episode one! I’m sharing and overview of my personal health journey—the ups, the downs, and everything in between. I was never someone who was naturally healthy; I had to work for it (and still do).
From childhood GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease) to multiple cycles of weight gain and loss, brutal PMS, immune struggles, and eczema—I’ve been through it all. I went from a diet of frozen meals, pizza, and Kraft Dinner to navigating pescatarian, vegetarian, and eventually vegan lifestyles. For a while, I thrived. But over time, my health declined, leading me to reintroduce meat and explore carnivore, low carb, and pro-metabolic eating.
In this episode, I open up about body dysmorphia, swinging between restrictive and permissive eating, living a destructive lifestyle, and struggling with food aversions. I also share why chasing nutrition trends doesn’t work—and how finding what truly works for you is the key to long-term health.
I’ll also talk about my fitness journey—from powerlifting to long-distance cycling on a plant-based diet—living what seemed like the “dream” holistic lifestyle, yet still watching my health unravel.
