28:55 – So I interviewed Michael Easter, author of The Comfort Crisis on my podcast, and great book for listeners, very good. And he had this concept of you're familiar with called the misogi. And it's this idea, it's this Japanese term that relates, that references sort of cleansing, and it's evolved to mean sort of doing something very hard, where you come out the other side cleansed as a new person. And so this Misogi, there's two rules of the misogyny. The first rule is, there has to be a 50% chance of success, and the second rule is, don't die.

    58:30 – Final Words

Our Final Words of the Show:

My legacy is about people by people who I impact. It's about my kids. It's about my wife. It's about my my siblings. It's about my community. It's about f3 nation. It's about serving people. And you know, there, there are few, few roles in life better than a teacher or a coach in terms of leaving a legacy. That's why I love what I get to do, I get to impact people. So my legacy is about people. It's about pouring into people. It's about loving people. It's about lifting people up, whether that's my clients or the coaches that work with us, whether it's my staff, that's it's about people.

They discuss the challenges of parenting and the role of teachers versus parents in children's lives. The conversation also touches on political activism, with Chuck planning to address school policies at a local school board meeting. They emphasize the need for parents to take action and not rely on others to solve problems. Towards the end we even hit on the simple kindness act of clearing a road to help stranded drivers. 21:30 – So we'll get into local Utah school politics a little bit. There was an article published in the National Review, and it pointed out that two school districts here in Utah had adopted policies from the ACLU that said that teachers should not inform parents if a child decides to transition their sex. This issue is going viral right now and everybody's talking, but teachers are not the parents. I'm the parent. I created that human or adopted that human being, and have full responsibility for that human being.

43:15 – This all comes back to just one or two general principles, and simplified, it's just responsibility. I mean, my brother's in jail because he didn't show up to a court hearing, and he wants us to bail us out?!

    55:00 – Final Words

Our Final Words of the Show:

I think what triggered a lot of this was just that I realized that I was stressed out and unhappy. So if you're stressed out and unhappy, there's a reason why, right? I'm not painting this as you need to pivot your life. But maybe there's some minor change, and you keep doing what you're doing in a different way. The thing is, when I was working full time jobs, by the time I was considering whether or not it was worth jumping ship or trying to fix whatever was wrong, wherever I was, I've learned that it was just time to jump ship. The thing is, is just sit down and yeah, figure out, okay, well, what is it that I really want?

You know, one of the things when you hear a lot of this stuff, and when I'm thinking about you guys in this room, and the people I care to spend my time around, is we're not willing to fail. We're like the type of people that it doesn't matter what is thrown at me. I don't care what the job is that I come in front of. I don't care what the situation is. I'll figure it out. It's just my job. That's what I do, and I pride myself on it, and I think that's something that we're losing in some of these younger kids these days. 31:45 – I mean, that's not a good way to do it, but it works. But then it's something as simple as, Hey, make an FAQ section, right? What are frequently asked questions because you're adding keyword content into your site that directly aligns with your brand, and, to your point, directly aligns with common customer complaints, questions, etc. You can still have that, but then, to your point, have the interactive model now available too for people who want to interact with something so they don't want to click click and then go and read, great. Have the Chatgpt supported feature too, so you have it physically in there, but then you have the automated interaction component as well.

    48:00 – Final Words

Our Final Words of the Show:

I would say, look at anything you're doing. Look at all the wasted time. Look at something you could do more efficiently and find the right tool for it. You'd be shocked. Like one of the things we ran into an issue with recently is YouTube thumbnails are really important. Like, it's one of the number one things that if you don't have a good thumbnail, your CTR, your click through, rates gonna be terrible. So we actually went out and found a software. It's an AI software called upscale any image, and it takes a terrible, low resolution image, and using AI, it scales it up and fixes the resolution. That's a game changer. So look at things you're doing. Look at just for image resolution, right? Just for image resolution, not for video. There is other software for video, but I've used a couple, and they're not that good yet. So look at what you're doing, and look at where you could do it better, and look where you need help, and look where you can get more efficient. You don't have to do it the hard way. You know, work smarter, not harder. And I think there's a lot of the right AI tools out there for that.

I'm now getting messages from people, your book is out of print. I'm like, what my book is out of print? You just launched it. So here's what I find out my publisher. Things weren't going so hot for the publisher, but they didn't publicly share that, and apparently they went out of business on the day my book launched, and nobody could get my book, and I had to find another publisher that was willing to pick the book up, which actually ended up being a better it ended up being a better opportunity for us, because it was a much bigger publisher. But that was wild man like trying to recover from that.

    55:30 – Final Words

Our Final Words of the Show:

The thing that really made me look at it is my kids. Because one of the biggest things that has been an issue now is, we seem to forget that there's two genders on planet Earth. It's not Baskin Robbins man. There's not 37 different ones. And I think when I looked at the way it's a threat to kids, is the thing that made me look at like, how am I gonna feel if I didn't stand up for my kids? And I think that's what it came down to is whether people like me or don't like me. I really don't care. But I can look my kids in the face every day and say, you know what, your dad's trying to make this world better for you. Because he wants you to have a world like he grew up in. I think that's what we need to be continuing to forward, it is what you're doing, creating this world to be better for your kids. I think when we're not looking at it that way, man, you gotta really take a hard look in the mirror.

My guiding principle in life is I don't get to choose when I die. But I sure get to choose how I live. If you just check in with yourself every day, ask yourself, am I choosing how I want to live? If you make little adjustments towards that, more and more, you're gonna be happier and more authentic and just be shining as who you're supposed to be.

04:40 – Very few people get that like, I love failure, like failure is my friend. In fact, I've failed more times at most things and most people that I know probably other than you, I think you're a bigger failure than I am.

13:30 – Things that I learned from skydiving. One is that courage credits don't transfer. Courage credits don't transfer, you can't go skydiving to abolish all of your fears. All it's going to do is going to abolish your fear of skydiving? There's not one thing you can do that's going to transform everything. What you can do is begin to chip away at your own resistance to doing new things. So the current credits don't transfer but the practice of doing new things helps overall.

19:00 – When you do something a lot, it gets easier, like there is nothing that you do a lot of that you get worse at. I mean, you'd have to try. So whatever it is that you struggle with, that you're resistant to understand that, there is something really cool on the other side of it.

32:00 – A friend of mine is actually a rocket scientist and he says they are not that smart. But the thing that I am doing now, is I'm focused on teaching people a method of not a method, a culture of selling, that are called selling authentically. The reason it's a culture and not a method or a tool or a trick is because it's exactly what you and I are doing right now we're having an authentic conversation. Like there is no script here.

45:40 – It is my mission and intention that everybody leaves a conversation with me in a better space. Whether we end up working together or not.

47:30 – Everything that we have been talking about, is about betraying your own internal stories that tell you to not do the things that will move you forward. Those stories are designed to keep you safe. When it's time for you to step into a fire, literally, there is stories inside of you that say, don't do it! Don't follow these stories because there's a bigger purpose. So I wrote a book called Jumping The Gap, Kill Your Stories and Take Action.

    01:00:00 – Final Words

Our Final Words of the Show:

I can sum it up in a word serve. Gandhi said, if everybody understood the joy of service, they would never stop. Being in service is the one thing that has propelled me forward faster, with greater gratitude and joy than anything else I've ever done.

The feeling of getting off of a call with someone and not just bringing them value, but turning the lights back on in their eyes, and I may never see them again. But knowing I did that, there is something genetic and core to our humanity about serving others.

05:45– One of the biggest hurdles I had to get over was the sound of my own voice. So I recorded myself giving presentations while driving my truck, in front of a mirror, etc. I did 52 weeks of recording driving to work and I made sure I did it every week, for a year straight. Not for content creation and not for anybody else. Yes, there was good content there and I would make sure I posted on YouTube, even before I went into the office.

12:30 – As a coach, in both the mindset life coaching part of my business and the fitness part of my business, it doesn't matter what side of the spectrum you're on, you got to listen to your client first.

43:30 – I work only with the lifestyle mindset coaching side of things, I don't coach them in fitness. I coach them on their lives. We work through the victim mentality and impostor syndrome. Soft talking through the past experiences and the story work. These things take up space in us. We don't realize they're taking up space in us which means we can't bring in new positive experiences. Because this something that is still holding on to us from the past, that we haven't learned to express or let go of or deal with. It's blocking us from moving forward. This happened to me, the reason I am more successful now than I was four years ago, is because four years ago, I had a block. I knew I had a block.

50:00 – I am often focused on the mindset coaching and lifestyle coaching which are my passions that I do outside of the gym. You have to be ready for those conversations. I had a local business that hired me and it was a six week program where I brought them through how to structure, how to plan, and they didn't respond well to the one the week with what I had designed. They all bottled up got really closed off. It was a big time tough room. I felt it and you could feel that in the owner too. So I pivoted and I flipped the script.

    01:17:30 – Final Words

Our Final Words of the Show:

That's probably why I came out so happy today. It's one of the things why I shut my mind off for an hour. I focused on whether I was not flat footed or was on my toes or rotating enough. Or like how I was striking or if I was connected to every movement I did. I was listening and learning and taking criticism. It was awesome.

That's pretty cool and more people need to experience that. That feeling to just be centered and focused that hard on anything could be lifechanging, and it doesn't have to be a athletic endeavor. It could be art, it could be music, or it could be the freeing experience like podcasting.

  • Plants Are Trying To Kill You!
Anthony Chaffee Returns To Spread The Good Word On The Healthy Benefits Of The Carnivore Way Of Life:

Dr. Anthony Chaffee is an American medical doctor and Neurosurgical resident who, over a span of 25+ years, has researched the optimal nutrition for human performance and health. It is his assertion that most of the so-called chronic diseases we treat as doctors are caused by the food we eat, or don't eat, and can be reversed with dietary changes to a species specific diet.

14:30 – I've seen the Carnivore Lifestyle help a lot of people. I think it's important to get that message out to as many people as possible. You will get people saying whatever the hell they want to say, in a very negative fashion, but it's a vast minority of people. The vast majority of people tell me about how much better they are, how many illnesses they've fixed. They tell me how their dad's out of a nursing home and is able to live on his own again, and that he's off all his medications. Or how someone underweight has put on weight after living very frail and skinny and now he's putting on muscle again. Just like other people are losing excess weight, they're feeling much better, and their diabetes is gone, their acid reflux is gone. These diseases that were just crippling people and crippling society, they just go away in a realist and short period of time.

17:50 – Aspartame is on the carcinogen list for years now. I heard that when I was a kid in the 1980's. It was mentioned casually, like, hey that might cause cancer, or might be involved in it, or something like that. So this has been bouncing around forever, but the processed food companies have kept it off that list by paying people to keep it off the list. They've admitted and said themselves, that 75% of their funding comes with strings attached. They openly said that a couple of years ago, and we all knew it. The FDA really showed how much of a shill they are for the big processed foods and drug companies.

33:00 – The most rigorously studied died on Earth is the ketogenic diet. What is it? Well, that could be anything because it just means dropping carbs. That's not actually what happens in practice, because it's very difficult to do a plant based ketogenic diet because you get rid of carbs, you have to replace it with fat and protein. Plants are a really bad source of both of those. So it's very difficult to do that, you have to take a ton of supplements, and you are probably getting a lot of seed oils and are drinking canola oil every day.

41:30 – Higher ketones can seem to suppress both seizures and migraines. Then different sort of inflammatory factors can be triggers, or just plant toxins can be triggers for both seizures and migraines. We have 100 years of evidence and experimental data and interventional data for both migraines and epilepsy with a ketogenic diet as the treatment(s).

49:25 – This lifestyle works for mental clarity, which just cleans right up, and brain fog goes away. That's a very common thing that people report when they go onto ketogenic diets in general and especially a Carnivore Diet in particular. That brain fog just goes away and they can actually think clearer with higher energy. They realize they have very consistent energy throughout the day, especially when they get rid of caffeine. You don't have the ups and downs from the caffeine as well. They find that they have are not spiking up, but you're also not dropping down. You're just here, level, and consistent. That really helps me when I'm on call at the medical center and I'm just busy all night long but with consistent energy and alertness.

01:10:00 – When nothing was working, and medications were not working, they actually came across Chris Palmer. So he was able to put his bipolar in remission. He's on a nearly pure Carnivore Diet, because again, ketogenic diets are meat based, high fat meat based food diets, with a side salad if you want to, I don't know why you would though.

01:24:00 – A natural plant is tobacco, which is a poisonous plant, which is a nightshade. That falls into the same plant families as potatoes, tomatoes, eggplants, and peppers.
