Dear creative friends – so much has transpired already this year in the United States. There has been an attack on our democracy, the harsh truth of a double-standard on Black lives, the continued divide of controlling the virus and so much more. We're all carrying a lot. We started this podcast not only to build community but to provide an escape from the weight of the pandemic, and we hope we are making good on that mission. So while we may not talk directly about important and serious events in the podcast we very much acknowledge they are happening separately from it.
This week we talk about social media and all the good, the bad, and the ugly that can come with it (raise your hand if you've lost some friends these last few election cycles). We also discuss ways to develop a healthy relationship with it when it's a much-needed tool for building your business. So pop in your earbuds, put down your devices, and settle in for another episode of Living Creatively.
If you're one of the many who have suddenly found themselves furloughed or unemployed, or having to enter back into the nine-to-five world after being independent or freelance, figuring out how to navigate a competitive job market can be overwhelming. This week, talent acquisitions expert and host of Insider's Career Club podcast Sindy Thomas joins us to share her expertise in the do's and don'ts of the job hunt and give tips on how to stay positive through it all.
This week, we continue getting to know the co-hosts of Living Creatively. The tables have turned and Angela is in the hot seat! Join us as we learn about her experience as a writer and what she wishes she knew when she first started out on her creative journey. Plus, find out how the choice between sweet potato pie vs pumpkin pie almost caused a revolt as we wrap up the year with joy and laughter and enter the new year Living Creatively.
Join us this holiday season as we get to know the co-hosts of Living Creatively. This week, sit back with a cup of egg nog as we get to know designer and wellness enthusiast Monica Parks as she shares tips on the importance of checking in with yourself. Plus, Angela reveals her real motive for asking Monica to co-host the podcast! Tune in as we laugh our way through the holidays and take note of the ways we can show up for ourselves better in the new year with Living Creatively.
