Luke 19:28-44 & John 12:1-19 | After Jesus raised Lazarus, the Jewish leaders looked for the opportunity to kill him. By entering Jerusalem in triumph on Palm Sunday, the leaders were unable to deal with him privately. This assured God’s plan for redemption would be made complete. Following God’s plan requires wisdom and demands sacrifice. We want to change God’s plan to fit ours more than we know. The hour for Jesus to obey the Father came and he did. The question is whether we will as well.

Acts 12:1-19 | When you come through a difficult season in life there is sense of relief and hope because the struggle is past, and peace has come. But there are other times when the peace is short because the problems return. When they do, things can go from good to bad and then from bad to worse. The future can seem very dark when find yourself held captive once again. Through Peter’s story we learn something else. God is able to release the chains that hold you down. He is able to open doors and bring you out. He is able to do something else as well. He can give you peace while you wait. When God is ready to deliver just follow him. Remember, he knows the way out!
Mark 9:14-29 | Many things that threaten your faith are obvious. Giants are seen, lions heard, and storms felt. But some slip into your life without notice. The ones you don’t see can hurt you even more. While our needs drive us to God, our doubts pull us away. Doubt is the invisible enemy that paralyzes faith. When that happens, we need God to deliver us from our doubts. That begins when we face the truth and admit our need. Doubt is the place faith begins to grow.
