Living Faith Christian Church Sermons

God is pursuing a love relationship with you. He is at work initiating this relationship with humanity today. In fact, none of us seek this, it's something He initiates and offers. And it is this love from God that fuels and centers our lives in return.

God is always working in the world. This truth affects how we view the world around us and our part in God's story. Rather than struggling to "do something" for God, we first watch for what God is already at work doing around us.

It is the task of the current generation to teach, tell and talk of the wonders of the LORD and His gospel. We are each called to point to His greatness and call them to follow His ways. In this great work we must not just speak of what God has done or will do but what He is doing today.

Our bodies are designed to eat food in order to receive the nourishment we need to live. If we eat too much we don't function as we should and the same is true if we don't eat enough. God doesn't want us to be spiritual starved nor obese, but feed off of what He provides and use the energy to serve Him.

The LORD is so great, worthy of praise! Humanity was created to praise Him and declare his greatness! We are called to praise Him ourselves, speak of His goodness to each other, and tell the nations about our God!

Prayer is both important and difficult. Jesus gives us a great guide for our prayers, what we call “the Lord’s prayer.” The fifth thing he teaches us in prayer is about being lead away from temptation and delivered from evil. God can lead us on His path away from things that will keep us from Him and deliver us from the evil things that get in the way our relationship with Him!

Prayer is both important and difficult. Jesus gives us a great guide for our prayers, what we call “the Lord’s prayer.” The fourth thing he teaches us in prayer is about forgiveness. This request reminds us of our need for daily grace – both given by God and extended by us to others.
