This Mother's Day, Pastor Rachael explored God's purpose for women, one of empowerment, influence, and beauty. As we focus on Eve, we see a portion of God that we don't observe in Adam. The pair were created to bear God's image; each being created uniquely. When God created Eve, He said it was very good - not because Adam wasn’t any good and not because God needed someone better, it was because they were better together.

This weekend, Pastor Nate Boven shared with us about going into the world as he and Pastor Jimmy prepare to take a team of young worshippers to Belgium. We explored the ministry of missions and the reason why we participate in the great commission.

This week we finish our series, “Roots” which is based on the idea that the condition of your roots determines the condition of your fruits. Roots provide nourishment, water and stability for us. God calls us to be rooted in the word, rooted in a local church, and also rooted in Jesus himself. Today we will explore the importance of abiding in the vine so that we would bear much fruit.

The Bible today is not revered as it once was. In fact, it is often maligned as outdated, mythical and even dangerous. If you believe the Bible, you may be considered a danger to society. Skeptics tell us, "You can’t believe those stories. It’s an accumulation of a bunch of fables." Does the Bible stand up to this kind of scrutiny? Is it really the word of God? This weekend, we explored the historicity and authenticity of the Scriptures by looking at one event--the Exodus--to show that we can trust that what the Bible chronicles actually can be trusted.

This weekend we continued our series exploring the importance of rooting your life in the unchanging truths of God's nature and character through His Word, as we looked at how to rightly divide the Word and allow the Holy Spirit to bring revelation from it. God is a great communicator. He has given us great revelation. Without it we would be hopelessly lost. His desire is to draw us into a relationship. He has given the entire world a message through creation that proclaims his glory and goodness.
