Before getting into a committed relationship you must do at these two things. (From my Perspective)

1. Know who the hell you are, how you operate, what your likes, dislikes, what turns you on/off, what your beliefs are, what your goals are, what it is you truly want out of life, ect

2. Have the hard conversations. How you view money, raising kids (if you want them), how you deal with conflict/arguments, how you view a relationship and expectations of what that looks like, how much family involvement there is, career/business wants, religious/spiritual beliefs, ect

Too often we jump into relationships to feel a void, to feel better about ourselves. Not because we can add value to each other’s lives as individuals. The reason there are so many divorces in my opinion is these two things are avoided and we just jump in. Look and think long term, are in a relationship to last or to feel a void?

If these things aren’t addressed, I promise you’re in for a very bumpy ride down the road! It’s not fun nor enjoyable, save yourself the pain, heartache, and frustrations that come from avoiding these two things.

What example are you setting for you kids by teaching them life is about the outcome? Are you tying your worth to winning and/or being the best? That winning is the most important thing? What is that teaching your kids and about their worth?

More often than not we choose momentary pleasure and comfort over the uncomfortable actions that will lead to a better life. The way to create the life and environment you want it to make decisions based off your future wants and needs.

When it comes to growing and evolving, you will realize you're going to upset and piss a lot of people off. What you will realize is those who get upset are upset because they put expectations on you and have an agenda for you. Let them be pissed, it's your life!

Once you understand that what everyone says is a direct reflection of how they feel about themselves, people become very easy to read.

I had a long history of self sabotaging things in my life and it all boiled down to one thing that was the trigger for me.

When we chase a life that is not true to our character it can feel like we are banging our head against the wall constantly. When we live true to ourselves, life flows much more freely.
