I hope that your personal relationship with Jesus is the most important part of the story of your life.  But this story in my life is not steady and consistent. It’s a two-party relationship; one of us is steady and consistent and one of us is not.

As we continue studying Matthew as he joined Jesus, we see that Matthew’s heart was transformed by Jesus. Jesus called him to follow and Matthew began to follow him, immediately. Matthew got up from the tax booth, quit his job, and gave himself to following Jesus.
