“Why do you worry?” That was a question Jesus asked. That’s great for Jesus. He’s Jesus. But what about us? As this sermon was delivered we were in the beginning of the COVID-19 virus crises. But even with that, we have to answer the question…”Why do you worry?”

We live in a shaming society. We shame each other, politicians, athletes, you name it. With social media it become so easy to do it anonymously. What did Jesus do? This week we take a look at a famous story where Jesus could have written the perfect blog or sent a well crafted tweet. But He doesn’t. We can all learn from His example!

If Jesus asked you what He could do for you what would you say? Really. You have one shot. Your answer will tell you a lot about you and what you think about Him. The good news is that He wants to have the conversation.

Just because someone asks you a question it doesn’t mean they are questioning you. But sometimes it feels that way. This we we talk about the possibility that our reaction to a question has less to do with the question and more to do with our insecurities and our ability to allow people into our lives.

We all know that confession is good for the soul. Followers of Jesus also know that if we confess our sins to Jesus He will forgive us. So why do we keep making the same mistakes over and over? Maybe we are confessing to the wrong person.

What helps you grow? Grow in your finances, relationships, health, spirituality. Dedication? Absolutely. Focus? You bet. This week we talk about the number one thing. Community.

We all have bad habits to some degree. How did we get them? More importantly, how do we break them?  This week we talk about getting back to the day before we started.

Occasionally we need opportunities to reflect on where we have been and where we're going if we want to move toward something.  Today, as we celebrated the baptism of some members of our church, we discuss the milestones in your faith journey, their importance, and how we can turn those milestones into habits that deepen your faith and move you in the direction of Jesus Christ.

Sometimes the thing holding us back is not our actual limitations but what we perceive are our limitations. This week we talk about the difference between how God sees us and how we see us.

Don’t you wish you could solve all your problems in one decision? We all do. Unfortunately it doesn’t work like that. This week we talk about another plan.
