Living the Faith - Fr. Timothy Furlow

Happy Gaudete Sunday!

For this Advent season, Fr. Tim goes back to basics of our faith. We are discussing the story of salvation following the categories in Fr. John Riccardo's book Rescued: Created, Captured, Rescued, Response.

This week is Rescued.

When we were captured by evil, God chose to intervene, saving us in the most intimate way.

We love you, Jesus! Thank you for rescuing us!!

For this advent season, Fr. Tim goes back to the basics of our faith.

What is the purpose of reality?

Why are we Catholic?

Over the next few weeks we will discuss the story of salvation following the categories in Fr. John Riccardo's book Rescued: Created, Captured, Rescued, Response.

This week is Captured.

If God is good, why is the world so bad?

Who is Satan? What are angels?

Hear the story of how God's most precious creation got captured by the prince of hate!

Part 6 of Fr. Tim's 6 part series on the family.

This week's topic is behavior.

We LOVE our family-centered parish!

He reminds us that attending the Holy Mass is like being at the foot of the cross at Calvary.

What does that mean about how we behave at Mass?

Thanks for listening to the podcast.

Fr. Tim reviews the first 3 sessions of his series on the family, then tells us how to pray with and bless our children.

The goal is to invite your children into your relationship with Jesus.

Are you using your parental authority to bless your children?

Remember fathers, you are the priest of the house.

Saints are people too!!

They ate, drank, and slept like we do.

Sainthood doesn't look the same for everybody.

What kind of Saint are you?
