Main Points-1. Seek first God's kingdom.-2. Seek first God's righteousness.-3. When you do, God will supply your needs.--Filter Questions-Would doing this allow me to seek God and His kingdom, or would doing this in some way hinder me from seeking God and His kingdom--Would saying yes to this opportunity fit with seeking God first- Would saying no to this activity allow me to seek God first-

1. The answer to our distress -vv. 1-2- is God's presence -v. 3-.-2. The answer to our doubt -v. 9- is God's presence -v. 10-.-3. The answer to our disobedience -v. 12- is God's presence -v. 14-.

1. At Christ's return, believers will be honored, not put to shame -vv. 6-7-.--2. At Christ's return, unbelievers will stumble and face eternal judgment -vv. 7-8-.--3. In Christ, God has combined both Jews and Gentiles into a new group, the church, that experiences His rich blessings -vv. 9-10-.

As a result of believing in Jesus,--1. We have access to God -v. 4-.--2. We have life in Jesus -v. 5-.--3. We are being built up in the church -v. 5-.--4. We are priests who make spiritual sacrifices -v. 5-.--5. We will not be put to shame, but we will be honored -vv. 6-7-.

Spiritual growth requires us to--1. Rid our lives of sin -v. 1-.--2. Desire God's Word -v. 2-.

1. You were redeemed. 2. You were redeemed from your aimless conduct.3. You were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold.4. You were redeemed with the precious blood of Christ.5. Jesus Christ is the perfect lamb without blemish and without spot.

We must love one another fervently because -1- we have purified our souls by obedience to the truth -v. 22-, and -2- we have been born again by the Word of God -v. 23-.

We must live in reverent fear of God because--1. God will reward us -v. 17-.--2. God has redeemed us -vv. 18-19-.--3. God has planned our salvation -vv. 20-21-.

Commands in 1 Peter 1-13-16--1. Prepare your mind for action -v. 13-.--2. Be sober -v. 13-.--3. Set your hope fully on grace -v. 13-.--4. Don't be conformed to lusts -v. 14-.--5. Be holy -vv. 15-16-.
