This week we see Jacob return to Canaan and finally reunite with Esau. The difference this time is that Jacob is NOT the same guy who fled 20 years earlier. Jacob has been transformed by difficult circumstances and an encounter with God. When we meet Jesus, we also go through a transformation process. No longer known as Jacob the deceiver - but now as one who wrestles with God (Israel).

After a graduation ceremony for our Marriage God's Way Class - Pastor Kevin briefly looks at Genesis 31 where Jacob & Laban place a pile of stones in the hills of Gilead to mark a covenant agreement between their families.

Our glimpse into the life of Jacob continues as God gives Jacob a plan to overcome Laban's deception and grow his personal wealth. This section ends with Jacob gathering his family together and returning to Canaan as God has directed him.

We celebrate Resurrection Day 2023 by looking at the secret conversation between Jesus and Nicodemus in John 3 - where Jesus outlines the Gospel - why He came and what He was going to do.

As we continue our quest for spiritual maturity in 2023 - we look at what it takes to develop a habit of consistent Bible reading. Each Christian should strive to make this a daily part of their lives!

In Genesis 29-30 we see the birth of Jacob's 12 sons to 4 different women. From dysfunctional beginnings, God will raise up these 12 young men into 12 tribes of people who will comprise the future nation of Israel. The lesson for us is that despite our past mistakes - God can raise us up to great heights as well!

In Genesis 28 Jacob has a dream while traveling to Paddan Aram. His dream involves a ladder (staircase) connecting Heaven to earth with angels on it and Yahweh speaks to him from the top. Tune in as we examine what this dream means and how Jesus interprets the symbolism in John 1.

In Genesis 27 we see Rebekah & Jacob conspire to steal the patriarch blessing from Esau. This action sets off a chain of difficult events in Jacob's life. Just like God uses this dysfunctional family for a greater purpose - He can also use you and I!

In Genesis chapter 26 Isaac is begins the task of securing a foothold in the land by the digging of wells. We examine what this means for our own lives - as well as the difference between Egypt and Canaan.
