In Genesis 26 we are told that Isaac was confronted with a famine that was worse than the one his father lived through. However, unlike Abraham, Isaac chose to obey the Lord and trust Him to provide. What can we learn from Isaac when we face a famine in our lives?

In Genesis 25 Esau traded Jacob his future birthright for a bowl of stew. He traded away everything he could be in the future to satisfy a temporary craving. We all do this in our lives when we choose sin in the moment at the expense of our future calling. Instead - may we all never despise our birthright, like Esau.
