On Being A Pattern Of Consciousness

We are not material beings. We are patterns of consciousness.

Like the patterns of Nature, we are complex networks of interactions on every level. Consciousness is expressed through us in patterns. Some we recognise. Most we remain unaware of, but dependent on them for life.

Give Your Ego Time Off

Our ego is an activity of the mind that works overtime to ensure that we constantly define who we are in the world, how we should deal with the world, the dangers we should avoid, the situations we should take advantage of.

It acts like the director of the movie of our lives. We need it to be at best an occasional advisor. Most of the time we need to give it time off.
