If someone asked you what it meant to be obedient what would you say? Would it depend on the subject matter? Obedience can mean many different things when it comes to things like parents, school, work and what our focus will be is being obedient to God. Are there common things when it comes to all of these examples? As we dive into the book of Joshua, we will look at the commands Joshua gives to his men as he reminds them of the command Moses gave. Using their example we will look at being obedient to God wherever He sends us and do whatever he asks of us.

The Holy Spirit was sent to this earth to help us to live this life with power. But just like the lights in our house, to experience the power we have to flip the switch. Flipping the switch connects us to the power. To experience the power of the Spirit we have to be connected to the Spirit.

I was amazed at some of the stories I was told by some of the people closest to me, things I did not know, battles they were facing, and blessings that have been given. I was so amazed at the stories that I wanted in the month of June to focus on our own circles of church, family, and friends. My hope is that we can find encouragement and strength from scripture and shared life stories from people who have experienced the same in their life.
