The holy bible is the story of God's salvation plan. From the beginning in Genesis through Revelation, God is hard at work transforming the lives of all His children. Each of us play a significant role in God's story. Through our lives God expresses His everlasting love, grace, and mercy. One of the first hurdles all pastor must overcome when they arrive at a new appointment is getting to know the story of the congregation, and vice versa. Each of our stories bonds us together through similar live experiences. My life story is my testimony of God's forgiveness. Hos is God writing a new chapter in His book of salvation through our lives today?

Many churches experience a true sense of family. They care for each other, teach each other, and learn from each other. It is not always an easy thing for Clergy to join that family, because everyone knows that eventually they will leave to answer the call of God somewhere else. This sermon will talk about what a joy it has been to become a member of this family. But will also remind us the "Shepherding the flock" is the task of all of us and not just the Pastor.
