Text:                I Timothy 6:6-10

Title:                When Is It Enough?  ”When Dreams Become Nightmares”

Theme:           The American Dream has become the pursuit for more “stuff”. But so often this pursuit for more becomes a nightmare.  We let our desire for stuff motivate our entire lives. We over extend ourselves financially and the result can lead to much pain and grief. But then Paul suggests that with a change of our hearts comes a change in our desires.

Title:                “HOW TO SHARE YOUR FAITH:  NEVER GIVE UP!”

Theme:           When it comes to “Sharing our faith” we often give up too easily.  God never stops reaching out to us, so why should we stop reaching out to others. Persistence is a necessary element for those who will share their faith with others.

Faith is a gift, not our personal achievement. We are given the faith we need to faithfully follow Jesus. Our depth of faith may seem small to us, yet Jesus promises that only a small amount of faith is enough.

Title:                “HOW TO SHARE YOUR FAITH: SINNERS LIKE US”

Theme:           Jesus was often criticized for eating with sinners. If we’re not careful it’s easy for Christians to separate ourselves too much from the “sinners” of the world. If we are to successfully share our faith we need to realize that Jesus came to save sinners and that those sinners are us.
