Text:                Acts 2:1-8,12

Title:                Life in the Spirit: “Conversation”                                              

Theme:            The Pentecostal promise is that the Spirit has been poured out into our hearts. The Spirit helps us in our weakness, particularly helps us in our inability to pray. Through the gift of the Spirit we are given that means whereby we can speak to God and God can speak to us.  This conversation is at the heart of our faith and at the center of the miracle that is Pentecost.

Title:                “RISING ABOVE THE TOUGH TIMES: THE BEST DEFENSE”

Theme:            Jesus commands us to love. Love, in the hands of Jesus, is not a feeling, not optional. It is a command. If we love Jesus, we will be obedient to his peculiar way with the world. If we are obedient to him, our love for him will deepen.  Love is also the best defense in the midst of tough times.

Theme:            We worship God Almighty, The Christ, Lord and sometimes even Jesus Christ our Lord, and God can be far off, distant, and seldom intrude into our personal lives. Jesus made it clear that when we look at Jesus, we’re looking at God. Rising above the tough times requires relationship with the up close and personal Jesus

Theme:            We are changed by Jesus, the gate, when we enter the safety of his pastures. Even so, rather than cower inside the gate, we live boldly amidst the world as those confident of our place within the gate.  Jesus does not call us to lock ourselves inside the pasture but to live so that others might be drawn to the gate.
