Since the late 1980s, South Carolina folklore has told of cryptid known as The Lizardman of Bishopville. It started with an investigation of a car that had been mauled, with teeth and claw marks, muddy footprints, and even blood left behind. Over the years sightings of the Lizardman began to grow and coalesced into a legend bigger than the state itself. But one question remains… where did it come from?
