LnR 006 Listen and Repeat: Informal
I've been thinking, and have decided to change the way I do the Listen and Repeat podcasts. I will stop doing the Sun3 podcasts, and will do the LnR episodes twice a week. One time will be a dialogue using informal language, such as two friends talking to each other. The other time will be more formal language, such as reading from a book or poem or speech.
Here's the dialogue I wrote for today:
A: Hey, Tina, did you see "Vampire Diaries" last night?
B: Oh, no, that's not my style. It's too scary!
A: What about "The Walking Dead"?
B: No way. That's even scarier. How can you watch that stuff?
A: I love it! So what do you like . . . sitcoms?
B: Yeah, you got it. I love "The Big Bang Theory". Sheldon's my favorite.
A: I watched it once, but didn't like it. They were always talking about science. I didn't understand half the words!
B: What are you talking about? It's a great show, really funny. My second favorite is the Indian guy, Raj. For a long time, he couldn't talk to women unless he had a drink.
A: Well, maybe I was wrong about that show. Tell you what, I'm free tomorrow night. You come over to my place and we'll watch it together.
B: Sounds great. I can be there about 7:30.
