LnR 108 Hong Kong

I recorded this in my hotel room in Hong Kong. The sound quality will not be as good as usual, because I recorded it on my laptop without my nice microphone. I brought my microphone with me when I spent two weeks in Vientienne, Laos a couple months ago, but I didn't want to bring the mic with me on a short trip to Hong Kong.

A: I heard you took a trip last weekend.

B: Yeah, I went to Hong Kong.

A: Nice. Was it your first time there?

B: Yeah, my first and last time. I didn't like it. It was too crowded and noisy and there were too many traffic jams. I'm glad I went, though, because I got to see a world-class city.

A: I'm sorry you didn't like it. I've been twice and think it's great. I like all the activity there. I feel more alive! I went to the beach last weekend and was so bored. There was no nightlife in that town. It was too cold to swim, so I walked along the shore. That wasn't bad, but overall it was a boring weekend.

B: I wish I had gone to the beach! I don't need nightlife. I like a quiet, peaceful life. You know, reading, surfing the Net. I'm glad I saw Hong Kong, but my next trip will be to a beach or lake.
