Telia Johnson of Telia's Cake brings all sorts of sweets to the market. Telia still bakes and specializes in a really good chocolate-chocolate cake – which she sells at our Market. She also makes beautiful wedding cakes and is known in the Birmingham area for gorgeous wedding cake designs that are beautiful as well as tasty!

This week's guest on Local is Better is Jen Ryan from Blueroot Co. Blueroot specializes in clean and healthy eating. Jen grew up on the west coast, and once she and her husband decided to set roots in Birmingham, they started looking for clean and healthy eating options. This week's guest on the podcast is Henry Dorough from HD Farm of Eastaboga, Alabama. Henry and wife Paula have restored their farmstead, which dates back to the 1930's, and enjoy beautiful views of pastureland and creeks. Their sheep live a happy and healthy life, grazing freely on nutrient-filled grasses on the farm.
